Castle Town has a bunch of NPCs that currently only exist to add flavour, but I think it would be neat to place them in dungeons too. They could function like signs that can be "read" from any direction, and have the same triggers as signs wherein they can cause triggers by having the player talk to them, as well as appearing/disappearing according to other triggers.
Since this would be reusing pre-existing assets, I can't imagine it would be too cumbersome to add as a feature. The only issue I can think of is that some NPCs like Lucky seem to only have a single forward-facing sprite, so they wouldn't be able to change direction when talked to. I think this would be fine though, since this should ideally be a lightweight feature that wouldn't take up much development time.
