This is really an idea by @silver turtle "'honestly a magical one-way barrier would be perfect for many uses...'" that I picked up and ran away with.

⬆️ Blue is always one way. Arrow shows which way, Direction can be changed with switches.

🟢 Green is passable either way.

🟥 Red is impassable.

Barrier colors can be changed with switches.
They could be drawn to line or square sizes like blocks, and would be animated with the arrows and color vision deficiency-assist shapes flowing over them.

While many of these same passage controls can be implemented in other ways, a full set of Magic Barriers would offer specific presentation differences for player interpretation in regards to puzzles and etc...

i like the one-way and impassable barriers, but what is the point of a "barrier" that can be completely ignored (i.e. the green one)?

I'm guessing green would change to red with conditions?

hmmn can we add a purple varient that would need some sort of quest master master sword knock off to break?

I don't really see the point in an interchangeable red/green barrier considering we already have retractable blocks.

if it could go from blue to green I think that'd fill the niche

So, like;
🟢 Green is one-way
🟥 Red is the regular direction
🟦 Blue is the inverted direction
BONUS;
🟣 Purple is two way, aka impassible (Activated on conditions)
