You don't activate them until you walk into one. And then they bounce towards you to try and hurt you. Like in Legend of Zelda.

Something similar to this. But not exactly this.

I actually like this a lot! My only note is I’d want them to be activated by shapes, that way you wouldn’t immediately know it was an enemy. Plus we could use them as decorations if we could control whether or not they ever activated.
