It would be a nice QOL change to have an editor only inventory screen that we can select things like the feather, metal shield and fire rod, and have it auto equip to the player when we enter play test...
There's been a few times I've forgotten to remove an item placed for playtesting, only to realise 80% of the way through a clear check for upload that I've left it in...

So a temporary inventory that unloads when you leave the dungeon would make creation and testing so much nicer

dragging items onto the player is how it works with powerups in mario maker so that’s intuitive enough on its own

i think it would work great in QM from a player perspective, but tools in QM aren’t as visually apparent as a mario mushroom or fireflower

maybe when the dungeon begins, the items you started with appear on screen ,momentarily?

but yeah, when I suggested this, I forgot about the context menu... that works fine for me.
from a play point of view, starting with nothing and picking up 4 items is fine. you then know as the player "this is your gear"
But if I have those 4 items to place right in front of myself during play testing, every single time... It's easy to forget to remove one...
The suggestion is to give me, the creator a temporary load out to test my creation without picking up everything, every time

but if he wants to add it to a filter for searching dungeons, I'd check what the player picks up in the clear check, and add it to a "uses this item" section in the dungeon veiwer
