This is my second dungeon! I aimed for an aesthetic that doesn't feel like a "dungeon", but still has puzzles and challenges inside. I tried to tell a story with the scenery and setups in this dungeon, leaving the player to learn what may have happened in here. There's a mix of puzzles and faster paced action. It is a swordless dungeon, though there are no enemies at all.

There is a true ending for finding all 35 skulls, plus a full set of heart crystals (actually 17 because.... woops). Hopefully no softlocks, I spent hours soft-lockpicking! There is also a very well hidden tour of some of the contraptions that make the dungeon work, and afterwards it puts you right back so you can finish the dungeon. Good luck finding it 😄

no, you're intended to ride that one down to get to the bottommost path and then go left

you are supposed to take the tornado up, get the checkpoint, then ride the platforms around til you get to the switch. then you can shortcut back to where you left your minecart and ride to the top row.,

i rebuilt this whole section in a test dungeon to try to reproduce what happened to you, and it doesn't happen to me. takes me all the way back

Going to upload tomorrow, incorporated some feedback from Victoonix and Haru.

  • removed that piillar so the map cant get stuck,
  • changed a few sections to have natural blocks that prevent you from backtracking when you shouldn't
  • stair-ified some tornadoes that had little purpose
  • added tornados to prevent wrong way minecart rides in the lava section
  • adjusted a few skull locations and hints
  • Added a safety tornado in case you get sent back during the ||escape sequence||
  • hid all checkpoints behind pillars you must pass for the ✨ aesthetics

oh no problem. I love playing people's levels, and it doesn't take that much effort to break them out like this. I figure I should start sending them in the dungeon feedback for the creators to easily watch it, but also I list them so generically like that because I want them to be searchable so if anyone has issues completing a dungeon there will be at least one video of it being completed out there to figure things off of.

holy shit. I actually made it out 😂 I was able to use that spring at the start to make it over to the platform below, with the torch and locked door. I clipped between the fence and torch and just slid my way through

after solving the 3x button puzzle, you're meant to go through that bombed door in the pit, then push the blocks to create a path through the mud to the stairs

then pull the chain, which changes the minecart track to go up

I was a little anxious going through it because it seemed like I was missing a lot of stuff. so I tried to get as much use out of the explosive crate as I could. when I saw the stairs up from that drop, I probably thought that meant it was a safe drop. but I didn't realize there wasn't actually a way back from it

I forgot to mention that. also loved these moments: ||when the cluster of crystal switches lit up and illuminated the room! and the escape sequence! that crazy minecart ride that used all those broken pieces of track I thought were useless! so super cool. I wondered if I could fall down after the Ruby by just holding a bomb up and standing on the weighted plate, but I didn't try it lol. glad I didn't because that ending part was cool too||

|| the ruby falls first onto the active conveyor, then hits a pressure plate that turns off the conveyor. then all the rest is contraptions to do the timing for the skull explosions ||

|| if the time it takes to become "active" when you fall to a lower floor got shorter, I would imagine the ruby doesn't have time to stop the conveyor. but if it worked for you, maybe just a fluke ||
