its kinda strange though. Hermes boots are very niche in use rn
they're barely faster than roll jumping as well
They’re mostly for the added benefit of running over mud and trapdoors, I assume
theres not a lot of puzzles you can design out of mud tho
didn't know about trapdoors, but they work very similarly
there's pillars as well
it would be cool if players had to get a running start to go fast enough to knock down items from pillars and open cracked walls
it would allow for more puzzle possibilities

The glider is very similar
but generally you want cool puzzles to go with your dungeon unlocks

But not every item has to be super flexible
Still, sword during dash would be nice, regardless of flexibility
this could be incredibly cool tho

imagine like, the player having to find room to run enough to break the wall
Yeah, that could be interesting.
Like, having you gain speed throughout the run, so that you could have puzzles that were about clearing a long enough path to do what needed to be done
yes!
And imagine gaining enough speed to jump like a ten tile pit lol
