Sometimes it can be very tedious having to go into the context menu for various objects in order to set shapes and shape conditions. It would streamline building a LOT if we could "paint" these properties onto objects with a dedicated tool. Copy/paste helps in some situations, but not always.

In fact a good solution to this might be to just add a tab to the parts menu for Properties, where you can select not just shapes and shape conditions, but other properties like wings, balloons, and explosions, projectiles, and common part conditions.

Actually, this isn't a bad idea at all, I would like to just repaint directly ,that would easily streamline my work flow when creating dungeons or contraptions.

That could possibly mean you could connect multiple shapes to the same object!

how so? it would still function the same as selecting another shape in the context menu, overriding the previous one

oh true. yeah it sometimes sucks to have to make extra contraptions on the side of a room just to fix the logic

there are some conditions that can be effectively overlapped though, for example a single floor torch with a shape, a mechanism that triggers off that shape and another mechanism that triggers on all floor torches being lit

There have been a discussion with the dev regarding objects and switches to have two triggers or two conditions, no more than two, since they wanted it to be more diegetic in the UI.

This is still within consideration, who knows if it will be implemented or not, for now, contraptions all the way.

as a note, you can somewhat speed this process up by dumping the items you want to assign a shape to in one spot, then using the select tool.

I find it funny how the Clutch Claws just not part of the selection for some reason.
