#Wall Spikes

I forgot those Rollers can be considered as Hazardous Moveable Walls if you don't have the Feather anyways, man the things that got taken from us lul.
i use them alot
i used them for a lot of things
if you have a dungeon file that still has them inm, you can copy from it to build a dungeon with them
They are gone ?
why ?
How are these unintuitive ?
not my words, i actually loved them
I could understand why they are unintuitive, since it's what they are visually presented, it looked weird for the Rollers to... Uhh, Roll, to an awkward direction xd
We need a compromise anyway, maybe we would get something in the Theme Update, who knows.
Thus why I asked for wall spikes
they cant go sideways now, rip
Aw
I saw a lot of cool tech with those, hopefully it can still be made or we get a replacement
It definitely is unintuitive though but yea useful too
sad to see that they went, lowkey that was my favorite way to use them lol
i even had a concept in mind for using them decoratively as pistons in a machine
old dungeons still have them
you just cant make them move sideways when you place them now
maybe we could keep the sideways rollers but with some sort of visual change to show they are different? like idk, sideways rollers could look like spiked walls on tank treads or something
There's no visual change, that maintains the essence of a rolling spike, that could even think of making up for a cylinder moving back and forth parallel to its curvature.
what if it was threaded like a screw when going side to side?
that may help imply sideways movement from it rotating
Hmmm could work, but I think a new "screw" item would fit better
We'll see, I don't think it's gonna be much time until we've something similar.
I like the idea of a screw object
what would be neat actually...
If the screw is set to move speed 0 / not moving, you can walk into it / maybe grab onto it with an item
and be carried along a wall
sorta like a conveyor, but instead of it being on the floor, it works by touching it
Could be some other item instead
It wouldn't be intuitive if the mechanic changed with the speed setting
