#[v0.7.2.2] So, I made a stage with over 200 floors

This game of course begs for Troll levels. And we just had to start poking around and see what we could do with it. Along the way, we made a level that had, 242 floors(mostly basements, actually).

Now, we're not sure if this is why, but the stage also takes several minutes to load, and does so on every single reset, and it's a troll level, so you are expected to restart a lot.

Can you have a look and see if the quantity of floors is responsible for the massive, almost intolerable, load time? If so, if it could at least keep stuff in memory in a way for a quick reset once the load completes. Or, we guess maybe you might want to consider limiting the number of levels to a quantity that doesn't cause massive load time? As is, the user likely thinks the game froze.

The level is named "It Begins"

since i don't have a builder view of the level...did you really made 242 floors with only 1 room?

We do need to go back in and add more text, it's too many floors of blank. Def needs an "Oh, no, not again"

i took the level down btw!

until the nwe update is released

#

hope thats okay

austere mulch

Haha, lol, okay

#

Yeah, it really does feel like the game crashed when loading, so we don't blame you.

loads in a few seconds for me now

#

i do also plan to make the loadign screen less laggy (right now, its all loaded in a signle frame, but i could wait a frame idling betwene each floor, that would make the loading throbber animation continue to play haha)

Good Morning, We think you released the version that is supposed to have this fixed. We tested, and it doesn't take minutes to load, but still takes almost 30 seconds on our system. Most stages load nearly immediately for us. But "It Begins" consistently takes closer to 30 seconds on load and every restart.

Yes

With 200 floors, 30 seconds is expected atm
