  If we assume God is all powerful, knowing, then he must know of what we now call Stockholm syndrome, so he wouldn't punish her for looking back as he'd have the nuance to understand that it's because of the neurochemical system he designed rather than disobedience/being one of those people herself

A simple explanation to this is that this story, along with others,
