This really seems like a big problem. It's as if India isn't a roughly uniform country, it's as if it's a collection of completely different countries thrown together. Of course I know India has some sort of federal government, but I didn't think the income differences were so colossal that people from the south would tend to hire people from the north because they settle for less pay. Less development in the north also means that the Northern cities aren't developing in the homee states of the northern people, they don't want to live in their own states, for the same reasons that southern people don't like interacting with northern people
