Other than that, I live in Kuwait primarily and we had a problem where too many people were turning on ACs at once after work, which caused unmatchable instant energy demand, causing grid failures, now there's push for solar and electric vehicles with the 50C+ temperatures.
All the gulf countries have started solar, Kuwait hasn't done so itself, but they buy solar energy from Oman
