well yes actually under Soviet rule their industry are working well and even sometimes they failed at organizing stuff and the economy sometimes glitches, but their social security, housing was all in very acceptable condition

even after the Soviet Union collapsed the economy of Ukraine was the 2nd largest in ranking of the former USSR states

but you see the difference from now to that time

they are actually living better under Soviet era
