I think that if you never played neither Spyro's or Ratchet and Clank's first trilogies you should do yourself a favour and plan to play them back to back

It's an evolution of the same developer team and you will understand by the third game how Spyro became Ratchet & Clank

I boot them up because they look fun, play through half a level and stop

I will say his 2d games are good

His 3d attempts are bad usually
