Nationality in the modern sense of it is a VERY new concept and even newer in turkey. Nationalism is a french term, a concept invented by the french revolution. Because the french revolutionaries believed the country shouldn't be just its monarch or government but the entirety of the people and the people were defined as "people that broadly speak the same language and share the same culture".
Nationalism then went on to spread across europe and arrived in turkey only a little over 100 years ago in turkey (which is why the ottoman emprie disintegrated)

In 2020 Azerbaijan restarted the war to get its vengeance and they enacted a vengeance for the vengeance by ethnically cleansing all the land they captured and in 2023 they sealed the deal by ethnically cleansing all of Artsakh (today about 500 dudes live there, mostly sick elderly people that just couldn’t leave)

But this conflict doesn’t end there yet the Azerbaijani government has openly layed claims to all of Armenia and multiple times demanded Armenia to cede 1/3 of its international recognized land “or else”
