I'm not claiming to be an expert on Ireland's housing prices, but it wouldn't surprise me. From what I know a ton of accountants and lawyers have moved in to Dublin in order for major companies to substantially reduce their corporate tax in the European Union. This has caused housing prices to increase and for income tax rates to be kept high in order for the government to get adequate revenue.

It's a country with loads of opportunities, good people and relatively inexpensive education (In comparison to the USA), but the US has more opportunities for me either as a programmer or as a pilot (I want to become a pilot after finishing my programming course, I'll apply everywhere possible for funding my training cost because there are some airline cadet programs in the EU, if I'll be lucky enough to start my training for free here, I'll not consider moving to the US as I'll have a dream job, if I won't - I'll go to the US, even though I'll have to pay for the training myself, I can simply afford much more there than here)

#

And I don't need a degree to become a programmer in the US, which I have to have here. No one will ever consider you as a programmer without QQI Level 7/8, unless you have at least Level 6 and loads of programming related skills, in this case you may be an exception, but it's almost impossible.

#

I wouldn't even mind doing a two year aircraft mechanic course there and working for a couple of years as an aircraft mechanic, while getting all my pilot licenses to become a pilot in the US, as I would be desirable anywhere, in any airline

As a Turk, I can say this about Gaza. Turkey is trying to remain neutral no matter how close it is, because on the one hand, Hamas is the aggressor and on the other hand, children are dying. At first, Palestine was not in United Nations. For that situation if anyone attacks Israel in Palestine soils, they can be defined as terrorist. But that situation cannot make Israel able to kill people. Palestinian people are natives. When America is behind them, no one can say anything. However if u look at Western television channels, u might be find a lot of calls for a ceasefire with Israel.

Changing means you add/remove rules from Islam

trim kelp
fast hinge
haughty forge
#

its about the munafiqs or the hypocrites specially the jews

fast hinge
haughty forge
#

This ruling is consistent with the punishment in the Torah, as follows:

If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. (Deuteronomy 13:6 - 10)

So, if the Prophet is to be blamed, then blame the Torah for giving this punishment. The Prophet was simply following the ruling in the Torah, since the hypocrites were Jews.

#

so jews should be banned too

fast hinge
#

Yep jews will be band too if this is in there scriptures as in the Muslim's

haughty forge
#

but the american hypocrites won't do that

fast hinge
#

I don't know but i think they will band Muslims b/c u know they hate them

haughty forge
fast hinge
haughty forge
#

The companions of the prophet used to memorize and collect them

#

and islamic scholars of the past collected the authentic hadiths and published them as books

thorny steeple
haughty forge
#

Sahih bukhari is the most authentic one that exists

fast hinge
#

So if the prophet Mohammed said something's in the hadith and if u don't like the idea u could say no

some sunnah are compulsary and you must follow that

#

and some sunnah aren't compulsary so if u dont follow it doesn't matter much

#

So ur telling me that if even ur prophet say kill in thd hadith u can say no that's not the way of Allah

haughty forge
#

Islam says: If you kill an innocent person you are likely to kill the whole humankind

#

Many hadiths were on specific context that was applied for a specific period. some people quote those hadith to create confusion without telling the context

thorny steeple
# fast hinge That means if i was a Muslim and then i decided to be a Christian that specific...

It doesn't. Islam does not promote vigilantism.
Yes, it's true that leaving Islam and publicly declaring it is a crime, Allah said "...and fitnah is worse than killing" [Qur'an 2:191].
Influencing others emotionally by declaring disbelief is definitely a crime in Islam, I personally call those people paradise robbers.
However, the Islamic judge is the one sentences a person with such a punishment, and the punishment is not invoked immediately, there is a process known as Istitabah, and it's when Muslim scholars sit with the person who's guilty and answer all of his doubts.

fast hinge
#

Am just saying that that in that Which we talked earlier about ... that if i change my religion u would say it's okay .. and if its say in the hadith u should kill me u would say no it's not Allah's way

haughty forge
#

you better read this

fast hinge
thorny steeple
#

It's worth noting that this rule only applies in an Islamic country or a state.

fast hinge
#

Doesn't it mean that i can't change my religion or believes

thorny steeple
# fast hinge But u basically said it's a crime to not believe in islam believes

It's a crime to commit disbelief and declare it despite clearing your doubts by the scholars.
It most certainly indicates your intention to cause fitna (deceiving others to also commit disbelief). You can leave the Islamic state and then leave Islam, nobody would punish you. As I said the rulling only applies in an Islamic state.

haughty forge
#

Let me clarify. If you are an atheist or you practice other religion I dont really care.Because the quran says"Your religion is yours mine is mine'. A muslim doesn't have the right to force you. The hadith you are talking about is only applicable in an islamic state and the judge of the court will decide what he will do.It has nothing to do with muslim citizens

Whether you believe the content of the religion is rational or not is a different topic. You doubted that Qur'an is promoting rationality, reasoning, and reflection. Thus, I'll prove it does promote and encourages that.

"...Then will you not use reason?" [Qur'an 37:138]
"...Then will you not reason?" [Qur'an 2:44]
"...Then will you not reason?" [Qur'an 21:10]
And the list goes, have a look at the screenshots and the amount of instances that Qur'an encourages people to reflect and reason.

Additionally, there are many other instances in the Qur'an where Allah corrects the reasoning of disbelievers, such as "They argued, “How can we believe in you, when you are followed ˹only˺ by the lowest of the low?”" [Qur'an 26:111], "...and surely we see you powerless among us" [Qur'an 11:91], and the list goes on.

My advise to you: if you wanna discuss Islam, engage in specifics.

I'm not sure I understood you correctly, but I'll answer based on my understanding for now.
Yes the Qur'an stated things like "Or were they created by nothing, or are they ˹their own˺ creators? (35) Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no certainty." [Qur'an 52:35-36].

However, Islam's truthfulness stems from the amount of evidence, such as Allah mentioning "We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺." [Qur'an 51:47] almost 1400 before we discover the expansion of the universe. Or when the prophet says "and till the land of Arabia reverts to meadows and rivers." [Sahih Muslim 157] which is an assertion that the land of Arabia was in fact green in the past and will become green in the future as well. Now have a look at those two sources:

Here is the context:

Me: Why do you assume I don't use my mind when studying my religion? Islam promotes rationality and reflection all over the Qur'an. I'm obligated to be rational if I'm a Muslim.
So don't make assumptions about me. You haven't engaged in a serious discussion with me.

Mr. Amir: Islam promotes rationality and reflection all over quran? for real?

Me: I gotta go to pray Jummah now. I'll cite the Quranic verses once I'm back.

You really will try to prove that quran is rational using quran verses itself? LMFAO

Me: Whether you believe the content of the religion is rational or not is a different topic....

The point is whether Islam encourages and promotes rationality and reasoning or not. As I previously said to @ Mr. Amir, whether you think it's irrational or not is a different topic, which we can surely discuss later. He doubted that Islam actually encourages rationality and the response was overwhelming instances cited from the Qur'an.

Many religions do this, Islam, for example, encourages the use of logic, and the existence of a god is considered illogical by many. However, you cannot say that religions are all the same because they have only one common characteristic, namely fate. In religions it is impossible to prove with certainty the existence of a god, however, this does not mean that religions do not make you question your vision of the world, there are now many forms of information, it is up to us to decide which one to believe in. Many prophets died as martyrs to support their ideas, if religion was something invented by someone, why go to that length?

@manic juniper
Do butterflies have any memory of being a caterpillar or are they effectively new animals?

manic juniper
#

It's just an extreme example of metamorphosis but many insects go through that and they all have homologous organs that develop out of the old ones or at least a hint since they were little

formal pilot
manic juniper
#

There are just few insect clades that never developed wings at any point in their evolution

sudden glade
formal pilot
manic juniper
#

Assuming we could use a simple reward mechanism and have a caterpillar learn it, we could compare its amount of time spent with that as a caterpillar vs a butterfly and a butterfly that never learned vs a butterfly that learned as a caterpillar

#

Now I'm wondering if anyone ever thought of this experiment

formal pilot
#

As far as I can remember most of the cells/organs gets degenerated during metamorphosis, how will they store memory?

manic juniper
#

This wouldn't definitely prove anything though, just that some mnemonic pathways keep working or are kept around for a prolonged time, and we need a large sample of caterpillars and butterflies to see if the results are consistent

manic juniper
#

I mean in such a way that it's not the same nervous system anymore, instead of a developed version

#

It's possible that by the time the metamorphosis is complete, regardless of the state of the nervous system, the memory is simply lost because it isn't useful anymore

formal pilot
#

During insect metamorphosis, neural and motor systems are remodeled to accommodate behavioral transformations

According to a website

manic juniper
#

Yes but remodeled, I know that but I'm thinking of completely redone to the point it's a hard reset

#

I just searched

#

Apparently yes they do retain many neurons and some memories, so someone had to test it...?

formal pilot
#

Let's do it

manic juniper
#

They tested it

#

Lol, they do remember it and they used a reward mechanism like I thought

#

Damn I'm glad insects are less and less like dumb mindless drones and seem more like cool guys that embark on ridiculous adventures

Research has shown that certain environmental influences, such as trauma or stress, can leave epigenetic marks on genes that modify their activity without altering the DNA sequence. These marks can potentially be passed on to the next generation, affecting their gene expression and possibly their behavior1. This doesn’t mean that specific memories are inherited, but rather that the effects of experiences can influence gene expression in offspring.

But what you are doing because has a negligible chance of being right even following your own reasoning. Remember that this is too superficial a motivation according to many forms of Christianity and in many parts of Christianity it is considered a sin to worship God only out of selfishness.

hello guys

thorny steeple
#

China is just West Taiwan @feral river challenge me

thorny steeple
# feral river your quran is not that special.

Qur'an is definitely special. It's not like anything you'll ever read or experience.
I've seen many non-Muslims who immediately get captivated when hearing its recitation for the first time, the non-believers at the time of the prophet called it magic because they felt how impactful it is. Additionally, it does not get anything wrong. There are no contradictions, which is one of many proofs for the truthfulness of Islam because no human on earth would be able to author such a perfect scripture (some tried and failed). In fact, Allah openly challenges anyone to bring even on single chapter like it "Or do they claim, “He1 made it up!”? Tell them ˹O Prophet˺, “Produce one sûrah like it then, and seek help from whoever you can—other than Allah—if what you say is true!”" [Qur'an 10:38]. Not only that, Allah specifically stated that it has no discrepencies or contradictions "Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies." [Qur'an 4:82].
The Qur'an contains prophecies that accurately described certain events. It contains what we call scientific miracles which are verses talking about very recent discoveries that were present in Qur'an 1400 years before we can even obtain the technological advancement that allows us to do discover them.
Qur'an is absolutely special.

Do you have an argument or not? There has been no single instance in which I found any valid Quranic contradiction in my whole life.
I hope you understand asserting a claim without substantiating it is not an argument. It's pretty much a non-argument. I'm asking you to prove your claim. If you believe I'm stupid that I couldn't find any contradiction, this denotes you posses the ability to extract some contradictions.
