Hi everyone
Putin have trouble.
Putin won the election, congratulations! 🇷🇺
Yaah.. Putin won outta nowhere and the competition was really tough. I personally thought that Leonid slutsky would come out at top but damn Putin really surprised me with his performance.
Do you think learning languages another than English is wast of time?
What if you don't particularly enjoy it?
- I'm thinking about whether or not to learn Japanese, which is an easy language to learn for Korean speakers. But my English is not really good yet, and I'm just 13 years old. Also, Korean students have to spend time for other studying really really much, that's Korea.
If you want an honest answer, then it might be, if there isnt a good reason for learning them. For example, if you study Japanese cuz you definitely will work/live in Japan in the future, then this is not a waste of time and go ahead cuz thats gonna be essential for you. However, if you do not have a solid reason, thats gonna be real and just isnt gonna change soon, then chances are youll waste a lot of time doing this. I mean, learning anything is never a waste, to be honest, knowledge is always good no matter what, but it could happen that the time you sacrificed couldve been used better
I have tried this language myself, and I must say its a great choice cuz it is really outstanding how bizzare it is, its grammar is very hard to visualize and grasp as first, and there is more to it. If you have a reason then go on. Korean speakers will not struggle learning Japanese when it comes to grammar, both korean and japanese share the same word orders and many topics
(although id prioritize english, since thats gonna pay off way more than any other language in the long run)
I think it depends on your situation. Where I live it's very useful to know Spanish and German for the locals I live around. German also helps me study physics and philosophy texts I am interested in that haven't been translated. I suspect the same might be with you and Japanese, but it is a hard language for most speakers to learn. So study it if you are extremely interested and have good circumstances, but like black cat said, there is a high likelihood without assistance you will be wasting time. That said, when learning a new language you gain a lot of other skills you can apply later like an increased vocab and memory retention
But given the Korean education system, that is a lot of time you could apply elsewhere.
I suppose it might be in a different way for them, since they declared they are korean, and for koreans japanese is way easier than english, as far as ive been told. But speaking english better might really be better, tbh. American, australian, canadian, and british companies are everywhere in the world, and even if they dont happen to work for one, then they may end up in a job that involves international communication in english. Year by year, more and more companies need people who speak english, because english has just won the popularity already. In my country, am polish, english used to be "a great advantage" like 5 years ago, but now it is an absolute must-have in many companies
Yeah that's right. English is definitely more valuable to learn then Japanese in this circumstance.
tbh being very proficient in english is such a great skill that there are jobs that demand only this, nothing else. Like many americans or brits, who have no education related to being teachers, migrate to europe or asia and teach english, and for the local standards, it pays a lot of money. Kinda offtopic already lol
anyone here who can speak OE?
It's very relevant. Future job positions is a huge benefit. Since they are 13 learning it early on is in the ballpark for that sort of benefit.
representatives of "the most peaceful religion" shown their true colors once again
fym true colors its not like they were hiding them in the first place
Also, it seems like the US warned Russia about a potential attack
Interesting, indeed
I wanna laugh about putins ego but 60 people are dead so
I can’t imagine the public outrage about his inaction
I feel like more people are going to expect him to retaliate somehow
And if he does, he would only gain more support
Damn round 2 huh
yes it did
Asking for ‘it’.
An old piece, but somehow, sadly not so old.
Isis is the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria", maybe you mean el qaida or bin laden but even then the US and before that were helping afghanistan against russia before and after they kicked russia from there they wanted to eliminated the russian influence like they tried in vietnam (eliminate communisme during the cold war) lol if u think the US is some sort of hero that saves the world from terrorists then i got bad new for ya.
Portraying nations as evil before carpet bombing them has been working so well this last 2 centuries since people are guilible they include justice in politics while its built on benefits
Hello beings of the highest light
some fucking politics my friends
""
All Russia did is protect Crimea, Donetsk & Luhansk. Russia is not trying to attack Ukraine. Yet, Ukraine constantly attacks those areas, claim it's Ukrainian.
More Russians live there than Ukrainians. They almost all speak Russian. They don't want to be part of Ukraine.
So Ukraine should stop attacking and apologise.
Ukraine should also not be allowed to join NATO nor have any nuclear weapons. That is too dangerous. Zelensky has asked for Nuclear weapons and Nato membership. He is insane.
The US/the West tries to use Ukraine to weaken Russia. Meanwhile they call Putin a dictator & claim Russia is an evil aggressor.
--
The West thinks Russia invades Ukraine, bombs innocent Ukrainians... That Russia threatens to nuke everyone, unless they get what they want. The West thinks it is helping Ukraine, while trying to avoid nuclear war...
Russia thinks that NATO wants to destroy Russia. That Russia is protecting the citizens of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. That Ukrane is trying to destroy those places. That Ukraine wants to join NATO and bring down Russia.
--
Those are self fulfilling prophecies...
The more Russia aggressively tries to defend itself, the more NATO thinks Russia is a threat. So NATO will become more aggressive in order to defend itself. The more NATO becomes aggressive, the more Russia becomes aggressive. It's a spiral.
Meanwhile, people become more and more radical, people become terrorists. Islam thinks Christianity is evil, Christianity thinks Islam is evil... It's an endless cycle.

@ornate siren what do you think my boy?

Other than spewing blatant Russian propaganda and ignoring Eastern European history, you're being fully dishonest, Ukrainians are the majority in all regions except Crimea
I don't think anyone should stop attack their enemies 🤣 it's a brutal war, not a game
Hello
everyone is trying its best for destory their enemy and achieving great success for themselves
lol, it's all the same people. these are brothers and sisters.
the west is terrible
Whataboutism, I see
Ukrainians are closer to Belarusians and Rusyn people than they are to Russians, ask this in the Ukrainian and Belarusian language chat and they will agree
idiocy is unfortunately created by people like you, and you are the source of troubles and ruin.
Saying they are the same people would be akin to saying Italians and Spaniards are the same people
Ad hominem attacks now lol, just admit that you made up a lie and you're salty that I exposed it
I have many friends from Ukraine who really understand what is happening
My family is from Ukraine lol why would I trust you more
Especially from someone that already lied
your arguments "lol, you made it up" "that's not true."
give arguments and counter arguments to what I wrote
I already sent the map but I get that it's difficult to read
I don't need to debunk all the other shits you wrote, that's why I acknowledged the only blatant lie
take a walk
🧂
it's also based on stance, it's just like your relationship with your ex, if you need her again you will say we are couple before but if you don't you will trying to use any excuse to tell her I don't need you anymore.
I think this doesn’t fit organically into the situation
same logic on Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
that is not conflict
Either way, the innocent suffer
that is an invasion and partial conquest with complete disregard of international law
while threatening with WMDs
and additionally to that a genocide
Fuck those who support this. you must be destroyed, bio-waste
international law is a toliet paper in face of superpowers.
there is no any superpower obey the freaking law they made to regulate those small countries
people with that point of view are criminals to me
then I'm sorry it's not point of view, it's truth
I will never deny the truth like a kid
that is not truth
you'd be burning at a stake if there were inquisition around, good al times
begin your proof
truth is that people let criminals to have power with their silent consent
but once upon a time people take power back
that is what happening in ukraine for the last at least 20 years
that is what other countries should be doing
LMAO
and they will
you better read your truth again.
I hope Belarusians do the same
using a civil sight to evaluate a policy of a government is crazy.

They can wait. Let the peoples of Caucasus become free first.
Free from Russia?
The chat dies when I arrive
I think Russia gonna liberate Ukraine first 🇷🇺
it is not caucasus
It's utopian

Free Ukraine from what?
This chat is so random
there will be times that you will telll your govenment to send aid to russians
from Republic of Ukraine
to Province of Ukraine
Kievan Rus should be refounded
ukraine is a poisoned pill
There is no way this could happen
Ukraine just want to become a member of the western community, it's not risky
Soviet Union should be refounded
not exactly
LOL
Don't start with this shit
but without russians 🙂
It is not a sovereign country now and is unlikely to become one
Russian rules.
Belarusians aren't subjected to Russia although that could change at any moment
it is a bad timing for belarus
they just gonna wait for polish and lithuanians to come
like 500 years go
I guess the country which being annexed is more than the country being independent 🤣
They are the vassals of the Russians, there is little that can be done for them. In Belarus it is forbidden to speak Belarusian, think about it
This sentence makes no sense
This makes their country a vassal, don't you think?
But it makes the policies of that country
And it controls its foreign policy
belarus nation cannot takes its power back while russia is strong
but the chance will come soon
The civil war is near
it is in progress
Sort of, Lukashenka has big disagreements with Putin but realistically he's the only ally he has
He even tried to get help from the EU during the Milk War with Russia
For now it's just protests, but it will become a civil war if the protesters receive weapons
Then Russia lifted the sanctions and the blockade

While you're at Ukraine, Russia, Belarussian...
We're trying to avoid Slavic propaganda altogether
Lukashenkuo is just not bad I guess he kept some good Soviet traditions like a nice welfare system for people.
but he's an authoritarian leader, of course.
Not creating an oligarchy or careless privatisation like Russia and Ukraine did
yeah, he also expressed the unwillingness to dissolution of the Soviet Union.
oligarchy and careless privatisation is really suffered Russia and Ukraine and it's a policy of failure.
it created chaos, nervous, politicians and capitalists carelessly looting people's money, it also caused massive corruption, and a bad economic situation is a core reason which prompt a dictator came to power.
actually the economic situation and people's living condition of Russia and Ukraine declined after independence, they all think independent = prosperity but the truth has proven that they were wrong.
https://translate.google.com/ a good tool for you

@signal bough i was a just a plushie, play and throw
You are the reason why conflict between the Jews and the Arabs still exist. You deny the existence of a the very Jewish people, their right to have a state. Generalizing all Jews as "criminals" has to be anti-semetic remarks. I guess if you want to use the "God" card, they currently have a state. Maybe He wanted them to have one? I don't know. But please stop using his name in vain. God loves everyone..
Hate isn't the answer.
The most logical explanation could be that, being Chinese, you don't know how to speak English well because it's a very distant language from yours, don't you think? I don't want to be offensive because my morals dictate it, so we could have a civil conversation without making fun of each other
It's not propaganda, it's a fact, Russia is an unstable country, its economy will collapse
You are not Christian. No Christian would spread this much hate.
Never heard of the Jews killing 60 million Russians but sure.
Jews were persecuted in Imperial Russia, I don't think this makes sense
60 million is a lot of people.
That's right, no Christian is in favor of hatred
First: those who killed the Romanov family were not Jews, but unhappy, underpaid Russian workers
Second: Jews were persecuted in Russia and were killed by hanging if they refused to believe in the "divine" figure of the Tsar
Third: Russia needed reforms, the revolution broke out because the tsar made his country go to war, condemning thousands of soldiers to death and a lot of discontent
Fourth: the Romanov family were not saints, they opened fire on Protestants looking for bread
Fifth: communism may well have been created by the Jews, but this is given by the fact that they were part of the wealthier classes, therefore they had the opportunity to study and create new political ideologies; by this I mean that they had no interest in creating an ideology that provided for the redistribution of goods as they were the richest class.
So STOP with Nazi propaganda and repent
How do you celebrate that?
As a German I am disgusted that some people can still support Nazism, it was one of the saddest chapters in our history
Did you know that Finns were considered inferior by Nazi race pseudoscience?
He only said this because you were his allies, but deep down he hated you, you must repent of what you say, you do not honor your people
propaganda
So why did they exterminate Slavic peoples and kidnap children in western Poland?
in eastern poland too
What would be the point of exterminating the Jews if they then join the army? Don't tell me you're a Holocaust denier
ukrainians? they literally wrote "poland". Poland is inhabited by polish, not ukrainians
And the Germans saw Ukraine as a land to be colonized
This is crazy my great grandfather worked on it and now there are those who don't believe it
They should ban this guy
thats not the first one to preach propaganda here. There is one who occassionally pops out to deny chinese genocide against uyghurs lol. But yeah pretty delusional to deny holocaust
Bullshit
He was a soldier, he saw what was happening
Bro, trust me, all you need is a shower
And touch grass
You can't be serious
Thanks for your service 🙏🏻
you are making fun here 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
My mom told me that I should interact with my students more and not just read the thing in front of them and let them answer.
Not sure how to do that
I apologize
She is right
based on this mindset, I would say nothing to you, because if you think my english is bad because I'm chinese, I would say you are a racist
make them read also, ask them questions or try to make small tests
well i suppose the purpose of the class is to foster interactions instead of meeting a quota
I said there's a good chance because your language is very different from English, but if you feel offended, I'll never do it again.
nice try
What is that supposed to mean?
at least you know it might be a offensive message
sensitive much?
I apologize, I thought it was logical, but don't worry, I will never say anything that might offend you again, I don't want any trouble
Meh. Logically speaking people from China has a lower understanding of english because of their education system not focusing on it. Got a few transfer students over here from China and they all have around average to lower average english proificiency.
Apologizing costs nothing, especially if perhaps a person may have been offended
Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right
But yeah. education system do be like that sometimes
thank you very much, and I don't really think my english is bad as you think
and I admit my english skill is flawed
it may contain some grammatical error and misconvey the information, sorry again
hi, i’m new here
being interactive is more difficult than I thought.
Like I could have them read whatever's on the whiteboard, but to bridge the gap between what they know and they don't know would be rather tricky
Like if they know there's no point in teaching them, if they don't know then it's hard to gauge how to approach due to them being less proificient in english
Malaysia, church sunday class
We do have english education here but you know, they're kids
13-15
You don't have to apologize, recognizing that you can make mistakes is an act of great intelligence
you are annoying like your whole character Lmknot
Well, the whole point of the class is to create interaction and improve relationships with the students so I guess the rubric isn't the pirority
Like i was told not to try and finish a chapter in due time and can take as long as i like
Because of the whole foster relationship thing
of course, I believe nothing is perfect and it's the truth.
I don't think having them repeat things slowly would help with interaction
and I don't accept any type of personal insult
Yeah, retired though
In fact, truth is relative
I doubt whether it's truth or not, but I respect your opinion
I guess just try to take it slow, i find myself rushing against the clock constantly
I'm not paid
it's a volunteer job
I didn't think I could offend you personally, also because I'm just a person online, I'm not relevant, but I was wrong to use those tones, so I'm sorry
Tones online?
Your advices aren't being helpful right now
They do not exist?
You should see one of my tutors at uni 😂
It's a little difficult to tell the tone online. Most of the time it's all in the brain.
Be talking about humans the whole 1hr and he is supposed to teach us java
There should be well-balanced interaction, right human relationships and right study make a student
But a person notices when another person online is being sarcastic
Sometimes yes.
I suppose just take things at half speed and see where it goes
and stop looking at the clock maybe
Have them read more, ask questions
no worries misunderstanding is common in a conversation, and I don't think it's a big deal.
still.. wondering how to bridge between what they know and what they don't
Maybe a bit of persuasion could help
You should interact with them more, test their skills
I'm happy to hear this
Taking it slow is actually more difficult than I think
I need to keep track of the fact that their english levels are substantially different than the teacher
What I say or write they will mostly draw blanks in their head
then again, saying "does anyone know what this word means" over and over would sound boring
who is an english teacher here? I need help with something
Looking at my teaching rubric and I have no idea what to make of it
hm, it suggests drawing on a whiteboard
why do I feel like this teaching rubric is handicapping me more than anything?
i can't find this tab since the new update
what should i do? im using phone
bit of a rant here : teaching apps are horribly designed and outdated that it's more of a handicap than actual workbook aid. This rubric I've been using is called spark 3, and it's given me more headaches than getting any value out of this. The interace is annoyingly complex and it looks like it came out of 2005, the questions are unintiutive and it does not provide textbook slides and showing exercises only, the drawings are extremely cheap and just a pain to look at
This is absolute garbage and I think rather than figure out what to do I'm just going to get the information from the teacher's book and ignore the teaching application
I think it's just it being produced on the cheap, someone had a limited budget to make an app UI and just vomited the contents of the teacher's handbook to a "Press enter for next slide" kind of application
I spent 3 hours trying to figure this app out and I think I'm just going to give up
Russia just added “LGBT+ people” on their list of terrorists and extremists, isn’t that a little too much ? But I think those people should not challenge the mainstream of the society, so pretty make sense.
hello everyone
You can ask questions in #📚|english-questions sh
children of Ukraine == children of Palestine == > human beings
Friedrich Nietzsche once said "If you crush a cockroach, you're a hero. If you crush a beautiful butterfly, you're a villain. Morals have aesthetic criteria."
I'm largely captivated by the fog of war. Of course, it seems like good news depending on which side one is on.
Ukraine: We're winning. Russia is collapsing
Russia: We're winning. Ukraine is collapsing
I think we need a neutral observer documenting the facts and truth on the matter. None seems to claim either are losing, but Ukraine is claimed to have lost some territories. I dunno, maybe Ukraine didn't actually lose anything, and we fell hook, line and sinker to Russian propaganda.
It is, indeed, a difficult landscape to navigate.

You are right!
War has no winners anymore in these days
Oh how the good times of past wars hundreds of years ago were
If they do then they will meet the same fate as you, my Dear Good Friend,

Immortal person you are

Do you have a heart?

crazy how the middle east is so instable
i wonder who caused all of this 🤔
the same mentality that made bedwins defeat romans and persians probably
the same mentality that uplifted sciences in all fields while christian church was condamning science
you should read history then my friend
what i mean is i dont understand the relevancy of ỳour message to mine
what does mentality have to do with anything?
you was wondering what caused all the instability
we obviously know it was the europeans that drew the lines
nothing to do with "mentality"
everything start with mentality
not really
that's you not me, I think countries starts from schools
what
what are you even trying to say
huh im so confused
"countries start from schools?"
the president, the parlement, the simple workers, all passed through schools, a good education systems makes a good country
what about kingdoms from antiquity
or the middle ages
empires created by warriors
i dont recall them going to school
those are nations and empires, peer on the word i used countries, but even then it all goes back to mentality, how you raise kids
bro nations and countries are synonyms
and empires are still countries
you are drifting far from your initial comment but okey
go check the diffrence in google
a nation isn't a country until it's recognized by the world organizations
take palestine for instance
rather than discussing technicalities wanna tell me when was the middle east instable? why terrorisms appeared just this last century?
All things aside. Someone needs to explain how this works. I suppose the earth needs to be flat for perfect alignment? The mathematics just ain't right.
Hello
In a casual conversation, people tend to use nation, country, state, etc… interchangeably. If you want to, we can dive in the etymology and break down each word. I was just confused on how you said school/education create nations.
But that simply isn’t the case for most of recorded human history.
I said start not create by yeah you get me
I answered your "mathematical" equation in the channel made for religion comparative debates https://discord.com/channels/801609515391778826/1219297174051881073
he's catholic I think it's in his scriptures (flat earth):
Isaiah 11:12
He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
Job 26:10
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.
suppose the Muslim in Australia, facing mecca doesn't mean there's a straight arrow pointing towards the direction, it's more of "walk towards this direction and you'll reach mecca" hence the arrow should be curving around the earth, instead of just shooting straight towards the direction of mecca
direction is geography not mathematics that's all to it
Exactly
it's like saying north to australia there's space
Yeah, it's a weak argument
it's not weak, it's just based on misinformation, and lack of knowledge about islam
It's just the lack of common sense, not even misinformation, call it sheer stupidity even
althought I'm not here to peach about it, I'm here to defend it since I have the right to do so as much as they have the right to insult it each time they feel like it for no reason
Same
I do recall you said "countries start from schools"
Regardless of what you said, I don't appreciate your condescending tone.
that's on your lenses

the body of empire is country but the structure of empire is based on different stuff like religion, ideologies, races etc.
grativity.
What's are the tools to define morality and immorality
@devout loom By the original definition given by Dawkins, the originator of the meme concept, the meme is the unit of cultural selection just as the gene is, of natural selection (also his near-irrefutable theory)
It's just a random thought that spontaneously pops up in someone's head due to favourable circumstances that he experiences
If it explains the circumstances to that person satisfactorily, they start to share it with other people, naturally
Thus the meme spreads and eventually may become successful in the meme pool
By spreading and persisting in the mind more than other memes
I agree with Dawkins on the fact that God is a huge meme
The thought may have taken birth in some random caveman's mind as one explaining some unexpected and unfavourable (maybe harmful) event or to hide some personal fault through blame
And that meme has been so very successful, you know how it is now
Religion may have arisen as random memetic mutations (compare with genetic ones) in displeased or dissatisfied people
But naturally as you see, each of the religions presents effectively the same message, just with different coatings
As for the mutations that created religion, they became successful parallel to each other, taking over paganism in many ways (which proved to be a less successful meme)
In many occasions, by chance (compare with genetic drift)
Imagine any natural disaster that may have wiped out the occasional pagan OR believer
But possibly the latter cases had been suppressed by deliberate historical events like battles
For example, take the Battle Of Milvian Bridge in 312 AD that saw the pagan Roman Emperor Maxentius defeated and killed by Constantine's (the then somewhat minor one's) forces
The meme of Christianity had found its place inside Constantine's head - he had a vision the night before the battle,
a dream showing the chi-rho symbol
Chi and rho would be the first two letters of the word Christ, in Greek (Khristos, kh and r) - transliterated
He had been living as a pagan before that
There were also other political reasons of the battle, and after the battle he became Roman Emperor
He issued the Edict Of Milan within a year that encouraged and legalized Christianity across the Roman Empire
These events played a major role in the spread of Christianity across Europe
In fact, every meme of religion has been trying to develop evolutionary stable memetic strategies over millennia (due to the initial success of the GOD meme)
An ESS (evolutionary stable strategy, devised by Maynard Smith) - from a biological POV - is a strategy (in game theory, you can search it up) developed by a gene to spread and succeed, that doesn't get bested by any other strategy over many, many generations
If you have a little foresight, you can assume that an ESS-gene will ultimately come out to be the most successful in the pool through replication, and tend to spread
Eventually the pool will become flooded with copies of the ESS-gene, and the original ESS would have to be modified to enable each gene to do well against copies of itself (that's the effective definition of the ESS)
And of course you must know that genes are not replicated without some variation, just like memes - thus you have your whole ESS concept from a memetic POV
Take Darwin's theory of natural selection, for example
It is a favourable meme
If you read his original book, you'll find his words to be very different from the current understanding of the theory
Actually, this is what naturally happens
Ideas have to fit in to the taste of the individual who receives them and thus get modified
In this way, the said theory has been modified over generations (you can also take your daily friend-to-friend conversations for example)
Returning to the topic, exactly these attempts have been manifested through wars and such stuff
Where each religion has tried to achieve supremacy over the other (like in the Crusades)
And still such attempts are being made, judging by the current affairs
Each religion is still a long ways from being evolutionarily stable
And for that matter, each religious leader takes advantage of the argumentum ad populum (which the people are very susceptible to), one of the most common informal fallacies where an argument is taken to be true and valid just because the population considers it so
Here too the same fallacy falls into play
"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so" (Shakespeare)
What's are the tools to define morality and immorality
Are that tools absolute or dynamic
context ig plays a significant role in determining whether an action is moral or immoral
Based on the person
Thats allota text
Subjective and dynamic
Please don't give me religious book refrence what is immoral and moral
what might be considered acceptable behavior in one culture could be seen as reprehensible in another
Self-reflection, critical thinking, empathy, and open communication are key tools for defining morality and immorality in someone
And if you ask where those things come from? Theists will just say yeh those originated from religion
Even though, again, "there is nothing either good or bad; but thinking makes it so", I'll venture to say that periphrasis can convert good into evil
For example, An analytic philosopher need not be an obscurantist
Obscurantism, at the very least, underlies oligarchy
In this context, one is rightly inclined to consider obscurantism "evil"
But a little extrapolation can yield both "good" and "evil" consequences of obscurantism
For example, the preservation of knowledge would come under the former
And its hindered circulation would come under the latter section
So really, whether humans would consider a "good" action done under an evil name still "good", or vice versa, depends on the specific situation
Take what the world thought of the discovery of the printing press at that time, as another example
The concept of "good" or "evil" depends on the considerations of the population, and along with that, it's best defined teleologically - as it depends on consequences
If these consequences be accepted by the population, most would think of the actions that caused them as "good"
Gahdam
IT'S NOT CHATGPT YOU FOOS
Who said it's chatgpt
@inner oak did you figure out the origins of morality and immorality?
Welcome to the club
lol
Acceptance of consciousness depends on the position of an individual
I naturally don't support deontological or virtue ethics which consider some qualities like honesty inherently "good"
If a multi billionaire wants to be pedo, he'll not get into any trouble

It's still immoral, where are you going with this
That's because of popular opinion
There are some fallacies the population is susceptible to
Your example would be a manifestation of one of them
You're saying morality is a internal ideology?
that's the religion's role
I'm not talking about religion, pedo isn't related to religion
Or is it??
Popular opinion varies throughout cultures
For the billionaire it's not immoral
No
Morality is indeed an internal ideology, but it's also deeply influenced by external factors such as social norms, cultural values, and personal experiences
I'm saying if you are athletic and you want to do something bad, you have nothing to stop you, or there's?
Immorality can't be defined by the one who's commiting the act, its more of what other people deem of it
People can bent social norms, if they're powerful enough
From the perspective of that criminal it's moral
Yeh power does wrap one's perception on things but if a billionaire who becomes corrupt would likely be aware that their actions are immoral
@feral river
Obviously, but the perspective of the criminal doesn't matter in the grand scheme, an act being moral or immoral is almost always decided by observers
You're saying morality is external ideology and defined by society??
@ornate siren so basically the theory of evolution is not fully proven just in theoretically (logically) well explained outcome, Darwin his self was a Christian and he came up with theory of evolution based on observation of animals.
When we come to God is meme, you can claim that everything is meme atm, the phone you holding on your hand is meme the clothes you wearing are meme, maybe bigger than God concepts.
Everything you said are just your thoughts or pov, I can’t agree with than but I can respect ur opinion!
Yeah, morality is a subjective term, not objective
Why not just say evolution ain't real
That's the question i asked
Bro's going on a tangent
If it's subjective how can we define
I said it right there, I would write whole novel if I would argue on that ._.
Society is the one who decides if the act is moral or immoral
In some society marrying a underaged is acceptable
Pretty sure it would surely be filled with fallacies and inconsistencies
So that's morally correct?
So u believe it’s real?
Yes, are you an evolutionary biologist?
Ok then I’ll simply say that it’s not proven 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, for them it's moral, for the majority it's not. See, it's always moral for the criminal, after that it comes down to you, its subjective, some will think it's moral while some will think otherwise, how do we deem the winner? We look at the majority
No are you?
No, but I'm not going around making claims about it yk
You do, you accepting the whole ass concept without knowing it?
Being gay is criminal in most of the religion, some countries execute gay people
So according to majority law it's moral
no need to be so rude while blud is being respectful as fuck to your idiot perspectives
I doubt it's the majority, I'd say its around 50-50, but if the majority thinks its moral, its moral regardless of values, that's the unfortunate truth
Ofc I would, who would you believe more? A random person on the discord whose beliefs are just preconceived notions or an actual biologist who studied the concept extensively?
It’s very sensitive topic, but being gay may be mostly immoral
Being gay is immoral by your logic
Does it make sense?
You're describing majoriterism as the tool
To describe morality
Yep, unfortunately. Not me who thinks that, thing is, there's like a couple billion people deeming it immoral
That's what they all do
Its the most accurate way to measure, do I think its immoral? No, does my opinion matter in the grand scheme if things? Also no
By that logic Islamophobia is justifiable in many of the countries
Killing of Jews is justifiable
it’s anthropologist who actually do. I am not asking you to believe me, am just saying that the theory itself are weak enough to prove it otherwise, there’s plenty of theories out the, and the string theory are real according to you?
When something get proved it’s not longer theory, it’s axioms
Unfortunately true. I don't condone it, I thinks it's immoral, thing is, if the majority thinks that it's 'moral' then it will be deemed moral, it is unfortunate but its the truth
Why do you think it's immoral?
It's should be absolutel moral
Cuz that's what majority thinks
Assuming someone to be hostile just because of their beliefs is stupid. It's not a hive mind
So according to you majority is wrong??
Your logic is contradictory
No, suppose 59% think of it as moral, that doesn't mean the other 41% also have to accept that it's moral
If it's moral it's moral
Cuz majority is always right
It's moral for a majority of people
I never said anything about anyone being "right"
Evolutionary biologists too study about this
You said majority defines morality
They focus on the broader study of evolution across all living organisms, not just humans
Unfortunately it does
?def morality
Doesn't mean that the minority has to agree with it as well
Definition 1 (noun): motivation based on ideas of right and wrong
Definition 2 (noun): concern with the distinction between good and evil or right and wrong; right or good conduct
So minorities are immoral
If majority is moral
According to majority
For the minorities the majority is immoral and vice versa
Your honour
For a neutral observer
If it's vise versa how can you define morality
can you be homophobic in usa?
Your logic is contradictory
Yes
The majority thinks the minority is immoral and the minority thinks the majority is immoral
What is the arguement here? I recently joined in
You can be an idiot in every country
You missed the fun
A neutral observer would have to base his values in respect to the majority
There is no other way
But majority defines morality, so they're right
And minority is wrong
I don't care, just give me a summary of what it's about
That is what it would appear to a neutral observer
Definition of morality and it's origin
Oh boy, the arguement just got escalated
The majority thinks its immoral, so it's immoral, those who think it's moral are criminals, the majority hates them, its the same for the morality of literally everything
Let's suppose
Something like.....
How can be something good and bad at the same time
It can't be
It's perspective
Because people have different perspectives on things maybe
Exactly
I think he's trying to say that it's bad/good in certain people's views
Yeah, and how does a neutral observer base their views? They look at the majority
I'm not here to argue
Give me a topic the world is divided on rq
Homosexuality?
Again it comes down to subjective level, but he said morality is defined by majority
They don’t that too much, they are studying alive organisms and making conclude based on that.
What are you doing?
Whm?
Alr, let's suppose 61% of people whi know about it thinks its immoral, and 39% thinks its moral, now, let's say someone who has been neutral joins in, they would most likely deem the majority moral
Yes, I used to think that those people are in the wrong just because of the general consensus
I'm trying to objectively present morality, that's literally the entire point of my argument
If you have consciousness you'll analyse it yourself
See
"Neutral observer"
Why do you think it's not real? What study did you base your claim on
Someone who has no clue
Later on they might change their views yeah but a neutral observer will almost always align with the majority
I first thought that queer people are immoral but then analysed things after
Waiting for punchline
The reason for that? The opinion of the majority
The majority pretty much shape your views
If we take this in neutrally then the outcome is immoral
Is it majority or the power?
Yep, the neutral observer later on might analyse and make the decision themselves but the majority always makes the first impact on the decision
Well they dominate the voices of minorities, that's why it's hard to hear out and make your opinions about the suppressed ones
The majority
So something for them might be good then after analysing it can become bad
Ah, this is a good one, can an unarmed majority's opinions be changed by an armed minority?
Because biologist themselves said it, the only argument is that we have similar DNA with apes, and I found it nonsense
@formal pilot if it's power, they would kinda force your beliefs on you but if its vast amount of people saying that this thing is bad then you'll too start wondering about their pov
Hell yeah I'll eradicate them in literal sense
Essentially, but that's an argument for another day
I said naturally without including majority, after all everything that is matter is “facts” because they are always neutral no matter what you believe!
It's subjective, but if we view it objectively, the majority is the only way to define it objectively
You took this argument about biologists and not the ones where they said that there are numerous lines of evidence which proves that evidence is real? Nice cherry-picking tactics. I've got to give it you
Indeed it's subjective
@silver vault show yourself
I'm eating
I hate him from bottom of my heart
I always present stuff objectively so it can be accurately calculated
Lol what did she do?
The feeling is mutual 👩❤️💋👩
She's the trouble maker, she always ping me on heated debates and just lurk like a coward
I thought you liked ranting about such topics
What are those evidence? Adaptation? I agree with the some part of theory but not with the general one.
Dude you don't have any idea what you started on #💭|general , i ran for my life
It's alr, as I said before cherry-picking things and using arguments of scientists only when they align with your beliefs is totally okay
Gotcha, I'm too stubborn dude it takes extra time to put something in my brain
I was not mentioning my beliefs yet, I stayed on the objective opinion generally speaking
It's pretty clear where you're going with this, you don't have to mention your beliefs
What we talking about evolution?
Why are there so many evolution deniers?
Tell me the clear part then?
Why you're using lesbian emoticons
That you don't believe in evolution lmao
She's one
Nah nw it's ok
Cuz they don't take antibiotics
What’s are your thoughts about this?
hlu!
Evolution Is real
That's what I feel about you
I didn’t say I don’t believe it at all 🤦🏻
It's conspiracy theory devloped by capitalist pigs to sell more books
What don't you believe?
Ik your point
Yeah I like women
Fair enough
+1
I said I just don’t believe in the general evolution of theory which is hypothetical
Could care giving have altered the evolution of human immune strategies??
Which part of its hypothetical now man
Tell me are you religious? Or you just making fun of it with your pfp and name?
Dude it's deja vu, there's no point in arguing
Apes
I worship reptiles
Oh yeh, I'm just gonna go and watch some comedy dramas
Understandable
Not for you to speak about moral with your discord account
Lesbian lizards to be precise
Bruh
I find your pronouns very repelsive from my perspective
Ik you joking
The New Mexico whiptail (Aspidoscelis neomexicanus) is a female-only species of lizard found in New Mexico and Arizona in the southwestern United States, and in Chihuahua in northern Mexico. It is the official state reptile of New Mexico. It is one of many lizard species known to be parthenogenetic. Individuals of the species can be created eith...
That's why I'm not gonna take into account any of your words from now on
Real
You mean repulsive?
Lurker
Yeh, thanks for correcting
Could care giving have altered the evolution of human immune strategies??
@manic juniper
Let's ask the evolutionary biologist
Np, it’s because we do have different thoughts about it, but at the end of the day you’ll understand 👍🏻
That evolution is just a hypothetical theory?
Apes, specifically 😾
It’s totally different think from what we are talking about
I'm not asking you
Fill me in rq what's the argument about
I've tagged a evolutionary biologist
@thin merlin
Yeh bs
Tf is evolution of human immune strategies😭
Like adaptation?
You bringing third person with whole new ass topic 🤦🏻
Dude does medecines affect our evolutionary ark
Ahh
Yeah it's completely diff topic
Well obviously it does
Suppose lets say our nose hair
Its supposed to keep dirt out
Agree
Now let's suppose there was a medicine that just didn't allow particles ti enter your nose
After a few generations of constantly using this medicine, would your body really need those nose hairs?
It would not, hence, your body will probably get rid of the nose hairs
Hell yeah we don't like them
It's the same things as steroids shrinking testicles but it's actually changing ur dna
It’s adaptation
Yeah
What agree? My msg was directed to your statement lol
I was just referring to your point by your own word
Changing DNA???
Crazy semantics
Basically it means that your children also won't have nose hair
Agreed ✅
Gotcha
So medicine are making the proses of evolution faster?
Faster? Wouldn't say so, altering it, definitely
That's the only bad thing about evolution at big level
We can't see it
In little time span
it simply replaces the abilities we need
Yeah, it takes multiple generations to take effect
Have you read about DNA fossils??
Nope, what about them?
It's has the similar definition as fossils
But for DNA
Mhm, go on
So preserved dna?
Yeah
Scientists have found Fossils of that sequence
But after a point we didn't need it anymore
In our dna
I see, interesting
I can't recall it right now, but I remember some of them were really lit
Why evolution didn't supported those sequences is strange to me
Probably because we didn't need them anymore
Perhaps they were connected to some bad traits
Perhaps
I wish isfrun was online
She's evolutionary biologist
I used to hate religion
But now I'm more accepting
They have right to do what ever they want, unless they're harming someone
Religion is like a dynamic cultural museum
Yeah for the believer
I'm here to enjoy diff festivals
Have you ever celebrated Eid?
You're an atheist lmao
Yeah dude dishes are great
Swear on Darwin
Life goes onion onion onion
Yeah I've been to many festivals
From different religions
I've seen to Bhejabindha it was lit
💀
Happy Palm Sunday
Wth is plam Sunday
It's a tribal thing
Cockfight, bullfight
People eat bhejas in this occasion?
It is a Christian anniversary, we celebrate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem
Tribal festivals are lit
Jerusalem
Happy palm Sunday
What are your plans for holi
Today I will go to church
Abuse kids and have fun
and what you're gonna do there
Sleep
Shut
My mate is back
Have you heard about Crocus City?

I will pray and hear mass with my grandmother
Take me with you
Moscow terror attack?
Yeah
You could go to church too
I've no churches here
133
Where are you from?
Nice muted role
Interesting, there is a Christian school in my city too
Bro was just being quirky....
My clothes form a meme?
Clearly you're high
Or you've by no means scrutinized the essay
I didn’t say so, if you know the Richard Dawkins statement you’ll understand what I am trying to say, or u just used ChatGPT to make that text
Yeah
Unfortunately, you make no sense
If you can’t find some sense, it doesn’t mean there’s not
A meme isn't something we see
It ain't an object
It's abstract
There’s types of memes, and object also falls in meme spectrum
@ornate siren “In that context, Dawkins defined the meme as a unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation and replication, but later definitions would vary”
Elaborate more
How do you think it's effecting our evolutionary trajectory

I never thought there would be terror attack in Russia
Is there some internal conflicts going on?
You're triggering my PTSD, let's not talk about that
i went to website that u cab meet strangers online and almost half of them were jerking off
This definitly is a certified #🧠|serious-chat topic
Omegle?
Emrald chat
I'd ve left seeing the first one
Hey you wanna buy steam accounts for a cheap prize?
I sell cheap steam accounts(6Dollar/5Euro per account)
No, of course not.
100% legit
lemme take a look at it
no I can help
Ah yes, I can help you just send me a message bro
Do you have ur logs
I mean your login info
Okay, this is very bad. Do you have 2FA?
2-Factor-Autentification
Call me and stream bro
Then you stand no chance broj
What games did you have on the account
bro write privately
True
But that doesn't mean a meme isn't abstract
You've got it all wrong
I've read The Selfish Gene and The Extended Phenotype among his other books, so don't worry
It likely did but not in an impactful way, humans have an adaptive immune system (it's more specific than the other) while some animals and most other organisms have an innate one
No I got it right, you making things complicated
hi
isn't that a city which controlled by Israel ?
Exactly
oh I guess their living condition is just not bad under Israeli rule.
if they are a citizen not illegal immigrants and terrorists.
Just it is the worst whatever they are
really ? I think they live in the capital of a great power in the middle east and their living condition would be nice, according to the gdp/c of State of Israel.
Isn't the capital Tel Aviv
nope, their capital is Jerusalem
Yes just they are hiding the losses happening to their army
Why is every conversation here about Israel and religion
Those are the most boring topics that there are
idk literally
Trend😅
Even more boring than economics I swear
Did someone say Israel?
I mentioned Israel
Baldwin 4 here
everyone does, Ukraine does, Russia does, Israel also does it.
Prolly he learned how to scam now ,
Yeah
no any country wants to spread some bad news about their country to their citizen
But Israel the most
Translate!
It's the word for "to know" in some Slavic languages
Wheres Belarusian?
Lower picture
Ah
@manic juniper where are you from
Suomi 🇫🇮
Is this supposed to be a veiled insult or something
I'm 23
Hello
3 blocked messages, I wonder who could be
How's your Sunday going?
Normal
Place your addresses and credit card information. I want to study you more, okay?
For me it's the happiest day of the week
Sunday is so depressing compared to Friday or Saturday
It's always a pleasure to spend time with family
This is because after Sunday there is Monday
Of course
People that work
Work should be a pleasure
Tomorrow there's school for me, it's not something I particularly like, but I try to get there happy and ready to do my tasks
I used to like school
Diligent people usually like school
Did you mean gravity?
My physics is rusty. I believe Newton's law will do the trick here. Find the force of gravity, F_g
It's possible to have the perfect alignment to Mecca. Just reduce the angles. Apply some Trig. I guess you're good. Perhaps you have to look down through the earth when you pray couple five times a day.
I don't like it for classmates
I just liked the classmates in the latter two years
My classmates are d!ckhæds
I don't know why, maybe it's because of the hormones
Mine were too but just in the first three years
😂
I'm in my second year, maybe things will get better
I just changed class
You mean that Darwin, who believed blacks and other non-Aryans were racially inferior. Who inspired the next generation of genocidal maniacs with scientific racism, would be proud of their contribution even though it was mostly a failure of an attempt?
A Christian? Perhaps I'm missing something.
I never heard of Mecca, what is that ?
A place for solace for the Islamic Pilgrims.
then why would science follow the Islamic Pilgrims ?
They have to take a trip to Mecca once in their lifetime
isn't that the opposite ?
the religion which didn't follow the science either vanished or no longer has influence as it should be.
Islam is the fastest growing religion, also in terms of birth rates? What do you mean?
You don't necessarily have to follow the science to have the flourishing society -- by population
this is true, but if you need more power and get benefit for your people, society and country you need to follow science.
and I don't think Islam is the fastest growing religion, but the opposite, the market of religion is rapidly shrinking.
One thing to indoctrinate vulnerable children, another thing to persuade a person who can read and listen and make judgements. Although it is better than to kill, destroy and threaten as it was at the beginning of Islam.
Ahh, slavic I see.
I don't think you can use a civil sight to evaluate a country, religion or policy because they are not serving the people who is using this sight to thinking how they worked.
and luckily, I realized this point and when I stopped thinking by a civil sight, everything is more clear, more easy to find the truth behind their actions to me.
whether you believe or not, it's not really my shit, but the truth will never change.
What’s ur point?
Bros.. should I learn Chinese or Spanish
My chinese mate
How are you?
I speak Korean so chinese is easy to learn than English speaker learning
im good I'm in South Korea for now
Depends on
travel times!
70% of Korean word is based on Chinese
Right
it's also pretty easy for us
that's so good
Be sure to get some korean girls number
who's that guy in your pfp?
If u wanna live in America/Europe then learn Spanish, otherwise English
Then chinese for when??
and 70 percent of korean is based on japanese
True, and Japanese has 100% the same grammer system with Korean
So super easy to learn
so why i heard japanese is harder than korean?
Mirzo Ulugbek historical scientist, mathematician, astronomer and king, he builds one of the first biggest observatory
Idk.. maybe because of the writing system
For China
where was he from?
Japanese has chinese characters, but Korean has hangul
Korean used to have chinese character

Chinese are extremely difficult to learn and is not that popular among Asia
From Central Asia, uzbekistan
Hanguls are sound of chinese characters
but its useful for business
