What I've done is pretty doable, assuming Peo's point is that I'm not presenting the project to a cybersecurity committee. There’ll also be more robust verification before an app can even launch. I don’t see anything wrong with two apps sharing some common features either. We already have multiple social media platforms with similar functionality, and it ultimately comes down to user preference. Even if two apps are similar, let the users decide. Each one will need to offer something distinctive, though, otherwise users just won’t stick around. Look at Threads or Bluesky. They're basically Twitter clones, but let's be real, they're not even close to being as popular.

Ideas aren’t as special as we tend to believe. They are a dime a dozen. It’s all about implementation and execution.

Yes, it had the shapes and arrows, and Its started out a little annoying that I had to keep dragging the arrows, and then edit it because I didnt have the exact one I need. Ultimately, it's part of the infrastructure layer in my opinion, it does not belong to the domain (is there anyn case in which it would?) and it's not really part of the presentation itself, so it fits into a place where purely business solutions not relating to the domain would go, again, DDD ends up being too many words and interpretations with overly complicated separations that make everything depend on everything while being independent (not good).

Oooh I get it now. My bad I kinda went over the http requests part, what you say is correct first of all, but its also why I dislike DDD, atleast for now.The one time I used an auth microservice different from the app itself it went something like. The infrastructure layer would expose an endpoint returning "valid" or "invalid", so the presentation layer would just emit to this endpoint and await a response, so while the presentation would still have pipes that handle auth, in reality they would just offload it to the auth context this way you can have a basic/common, "user" and "permissions" authentication and authorization solution while you'd be able to extend it's implementation should you ever need to (unlikely). And the concerns would be properly separated

Ultimately it's not a matter of where or who it's done, Microsoft had a great DDD article that explained the main ideas behind ddd and was clear, but as long as every layer is responsible for itself and does not depend on anything it shouldn't it's fine? Again, I definitely don't know all that much about this

Would you still want to learn it? My answer is yes. Why? Because in any field there will always be people more talented or experienced than you, but that should never be a reason to stop you from pursuing it.

Now, for the sake of argument, let's assume AI replaces the top 1% in your field. What happens next? Nobody knows. Could it happen soon? Probably. But does that mean we should all stop working, stop learning, or stop contributing economically and just wait for a cheque to arrive? Absolutely not. We cannot predict the future. So, if you're passionate about something, at least give it a go, regardless of the fear of being replaced by AI.

I should also emphasise that if your plan is to learn coding just to get rich quickly, you're in for a tough time because the bar has been raised significantly. A quick reality check would be to visit LinkedIn or any other job search platform and look at roles in your field to see what the actual requirements are for the positions you’d likely aim for after picking up those skills.

Well its been like September since I finished my last space game program, and I can't believe its been that long sitting around thinking of the next thing to do. I came up with 3 projects in that time, one being a world domination game, the second being the US 2nd civil war, but that was too triggering given the main reason is still in power, and its likely to happen irl anyways.
