#"A random [human] gets X for each [human] on your team..." mutations feel very underwhelming

These mutations feel very underwhelming, and dilute the mutation pool a lot:

  • Cult Leader (random cultist gets +30 armor for each Fighter)
  • Guardian of the Order (random mage gets +10 armor for each Tank)
  • Serum of Strength (random Tank gets +5 attack speed for each Egghead)
  • **Guard **(random fencer gets +40 damage for each newbie)
  • Thrower Talisman (random healer gets +10% magic damage for each Thrower)
  • Healer Talisman (random Thrower gets +5% magic damage for each Healer)

Perhaps these have decent value in Brawl mode, however they seem very weak otherwise, and feel like 'junk' every time they show up at an altar. One buff for a single unit is not worth an entire mutation, especially when that buff may just go to a puny tier 1 human.

SP: big message why its not great mutations
SS: i think give bonus for the best and not random unit will make it better
SP: it will be still useless because its for single unit
SS: I do not want to argue, but I do not agree with the categoricality that it is useless for one ๐Ÿ™‚ these are not game-turning mutations, but the effectiveness in fact depends only on the numbers, some may be useless on the current ones, but do not consider that at all

I think having a targeted effect on some of these would be good (effect the best unit as SS said), but in some cases it would be worse. Guard for fencers is great as is and I do want the ability to rotate to random fencers otherwise it'll lose some of its PVE benefit (random extra vamp healing to a given fencer)

#

another workaround would be to leave them as is, but buff mutation reroll. e.g. if we decrease the second reroll from 30 to 20, you can reroll for cheaper, so the mutation pool dilution issue isn't as bad, but you can still pick those mutation for specific purposes. Like having only one thrower buffed by a bunch of healers so he has a nuke bomb

that's true but guard makes a lot of sense for PVE, the other ones seem more pvp focused
