The Rtx 5090 channel doesn’t tag users sometimes. A lot of the posts in the last few days have no @s

Specifically the UK tag is not being applied to stock on UK sites so we're not getting notifications properly.

Hey! The reason some posts in the RTX 5090 channel don’t have @s is because of our price cap system. Basically, we’ve set a limit for the bot to only tag people when the GPU price is below £2,500. If the RTX 5090 is over that price, the bot will still post the alert, but it won’t tag the UK role. We call these “silent alerts.”

If you’ve got “all messages” turned on for the RTX 5090 channel, you’ll still see them. But if you’re only relying on role pings, you’ll miss those higher-priced ones.

We set this up to avoid spamming everyone when there’s a flood of stock, especially with overpriced GPUs. Back in the RTX 30 series days, a lot of people complained about getting alerts for super marked-up cards, so this system tries to keep both sides happy—people who want every alert and people who only care about reasonable prices.

We'll occasionally adjust the price cap as the market sees more stock flow in, and prices fluctuate.
