@cloud ridge @gloomy talon @willow vortex I tried to listen to the advice you guys gave me and I came up with this!!
I hope it's not as bad as my other map...
The big thing you improved on with this one was having a consistent pathway- I was able to tell where to go the whole time as you utilized walls and arrows much better. Also added a few cool shortcuts as well- definitely improved! What I'd work on is obstacles. The one I'm standing on here for example would be very tough for 8 players to race pass; it was even tough for me going solo! A lot of the sawblades are also a bit destructive towards the overall flow of the map. I'd keep doing what you did with the arrows and walls but now focus on creating enough space in all areas of the map for multiplayer!

Yeah it'll be good practice for sure to adjust and work really hard with adjustments on same map!

I would like to see +10s seconds of gameplay, be careful with broken shortcuts tho, they can do heavy damage to your level

the moving-down blocks I think could be improved
maybe have them slightly closer?
also perhaps decorate more
saws themselves are fine
the space is a bit cramped tho
ss1: try to use something other than the default wpg starting thingy, it opens up a lot more creativity and add a dissapearing block to get rid of spawn bias
ss2: make floor smaller and blocks hoerzontally longer to make shortcut harder

even thouhg you are doing an 8p, still try to expand your maps and make them feel more open
you can have slowdown obstacles instead of death obstacles
keep practicing making levels this is a great improvement

there are 2 methods to edit an unpublished level
if you have the link you can extract the last part after the =play to get the "id" of the level (for party climb its b808a789-ae7e-415e-a444-77d563d1a334)
and you can just look up level ids even though they arent published

Well, you should remember that there will be eight people in there pushing each other, so you can't make it super cramped

Giving up won't take you anywhere
Even if this map doesn't get certified, which is what most people only look at, you will get such good knowledge to build more insane and cool concepts
i think the gameplay is very fun as a singleplayer level, but the main thing i dislike is how disconnected/messy the structures feel. when i went through the part in the pic for the first time i was sorta confused on where to go, and going right is much faster than going left so it feels like an effortless no brainer shortcut. the abundance of saws in the first half of the level makes it feel somewhat tight, and probably won't work well in an 8p multiplayer setting. the thing that stood out the most to me was the lack of design, you have a lot of arrows to telegraph where to go (which is good) but there are no background blocks in sight. imo it gives it an unfinished/unpolished feel

Even making it like this just doesn't seem fun ngl, I haven't found a way to make this fun with just the gameplay you provided. Also, a 8p level should be between 40-60 seconds playtime on average for me to send it.
