Also there are definetly some solutions to the cencorship problem. Why not just have the ability to link your discord account if you want.

Also it's the internet, the overarching problem of censorship will always be present while supporting the right to free speech

in game chat nice idea but has bad results such as cursing and stuff which should not be introduced to young people. maybe it can be a 13+ in game chat? thats what discord is for, even if its not ingame

Neither of you had anything constructive to say other than freaking out that children might read profanity. Neither of you responded to the point that they are already on the internet if they have access to this game meaning they are already at risk of exposure to profanity. Not to mention the game links to this discord server from the home page and there is nothing stopping anyone here from expressing profane language so the brand has already opened avenues for free speech chat.

sir, this is a feedback section where people either agree with your idea or disagree with your idea. most posts here are meant to be scrutinized since if by the rare chance they get added, they could heavily impact the game's current state if not fully though out. yes, the internet shoves a lot of profanity towards children, but children (at least most of 'em) don't know about discord yet. forcing a requirement to link discord accounts they don't even have is helpful to moderate, but in the end it still seems like you're insistent on promoting more profanity towards children

so even if a kid were to click the discord link in the game they shouldnt be able to join if theyre under 13

It would allow people to connect and communicate. It should be obvious that communication is critical to a game that relies on team work

Right now I have regular people that I've met in the game but I can never speak with them because there is no way to share discord info

It's an option to add the username, it doesn't mean you have to... If they don't have a discord they won't add a user name, not sure why you're confused

Lots of people don't have the same name here in the server and more over not everyone has added the discord server

And just so you know there is no way to actually enforce an age restriction online, it will always be a rule that relies on the honor system

yea but people get banned a lot of the time for being underaged, doesnt mean everyone, but rbr should definitely NOT encourage underage joining of the server

Policies and agreements that discourage underage users are already in place. You can't do more than that realistically

Exactly, they are already advertising the server. Beyond that it's up to Discord and their communities to police any malfeasance
