It only takes around a week to get to level 10, I don't most players are going to regret their name after a week of playing, and if they do they can just make a new account.

Once you've gotten past level 30 it is no longer an easy road to just make a new account if your name sucks. In retrospect I think level 40 is a bit demanding, but if it was too low players would constantly be changing names which is something no one wants to be keeping track of

Did you read doggys message? Players like me played on web first then bought it on steam and i'm not able to change it since i registered on website first and didnt use same email for both. I can only logout of the account by deleting the moonlight_data file, and play with a changeable username on an alt

I don't mean to be rude cookie, but it isn't too hard to get that many gems. Simply play through the season regularly and you usually end up with that many gems, plus coins are easy to get so the coin part is basically just there for aesthetic. Also level 20 is too low, with like 2 weeks of grinding I can get an alt to that level, you would get people impersonating each other.
