SOS chaining is stupid easy. You just need to get a trevenant with trick and recycle, and something with pressure/intimidate and you can just mindlessly chain. with charm after 30 sos calls rate is 1/273
the chain resets at 255 SOS calls though but thats roughly at odds
but with recycle it doesnt matter, you just keep going

yea, i dont believe they did any speeding up of egg hatching with those remakes. bike speed gives steps slowly and it is a tile map game made almost exactly like it's original, so it's also hard to find open space to take advantage of a joystick for movement. 
i try to do circles at that small area above ye day care's town. that lone house has a small spot for doing circles in. otherwise, u just go up and down and up and down repeatedly. either of them seem like good ways to hatch eggs in brilliant diamond.

So, to add friends on 3DS and trade to specific people you have to add each other via a 12 digit code.
When you go to the home screen, it'll be in the top, along with settings, if I'm not mistaken (not looking at DS atm) it's a text box with a smiley in it.
That'll take you to your friends list. You will always be number one on your friends list. So when you highlight yourself, on the top screen, it'll give you a 12 digit number below your profile on the top screen
Then you click the add friend in top right corner, and input my code. (I do need to know yours too)
3DS doesn't allow one sided requests. Both sides have to request each other's code to actually become friends.

it's fine. even if u suck at ye minigame, u can get legends and ultrabeasts, just lower chances of them. better portals only increase ur chances of shinies and rare/legendary pokémon. i often go for 2nd rarest portal type to try and get legends from. i only hit rarest portal type once every 30 or so tries.
i still get legendary encounters every few tries on 2nd rarest portal.
and u still soft reset for legendaries to be shiny after u entered their location from a portal, so minigame doesnt effect shiny odds on them. from what i read, portals that are deeper in ye wormhole increase shiny odds only on normal pokémon
essentially, for normal pokémon, distance travelled in minigame is their ultrawormhole version of catching same pokémon in a chain to raise shiny odds.
so unless ur trying to shiny hunt for normal pokémon, ur skills in ye minigame doesnt matter much.

it's like just as hard as catching a legendary pokémon with a love ball. no male kangaskhan exists, so i cant catch opposite sex in a different poké ball to make catch rate go to 100% on love ball and it's spawn rate is so low i actually have a higher probability of catching a legendary from multiple resets than i do of finding and catching a kangaskhan. legendary encounter rate is 100% per reset. i mean, sure i had to find that legendary 1 time to begin with, but after that it's always going to be there when i restart my game. kangaskhan encounter rate is 1%. legendary catch rates are usually around 6% with roto catch power while this one is 50% with roto catch power. this catch rate seems high, but when combined with it's 1% spawn rate, it actually means i have a 0.5% chance to catch kangaskhan per battle as i have to spend an average of 99 battles running away from other pokémon before i find one. i would probably actually have an easier time catching legendary pokémon like moltres, articuno, zapdos, mewtwo, etc. in a love ball than kangaskhan.

i think u should work one step at a time. im trying to form a breedable love ball pokémon living dex and im taking it 1 step at a time. 1st i complete a living dex aiming for love ball pokémon when i can, then i start going for love ball pokémon im still missing after i complete that.
1st step im doing right now is completing my kanto living dex. as soon as my exeggcute hatch, it will be complete. living dex from 1-151 finally fully filled out. probably around half in love balls, half in poké balls.
afterwards, i will move onto johto dex and fill it out, some in love balls, some in poké balls, and so on. then i will go bak to ye beginning at kanto and fill out those im missing in love balls.

my luck op. i caught this in grass on route 3 in pokémon white version yesterday. it was my 2nd blitzle i caught (i know it spawns as lvl 11 or lower, i lvled it up 2 lvls just looking at it in battle while my audino killed ye pokémon i was fighting), 1st one was in a pokéball as i didnt know if i wanted to have it in ultra ball for black and white zebra matching or pokéball for wanting it to be in ye normal ball.
think i wanna go with ultra ball, it has a bleu effect that matches blitzle's eye colour and blitzle has yellow eye instead of pink eye, so ye colour match is pretty good.
just pretty cool that it had 2 Best stats from ye start. time to get bak to ye endless task of breeding just like with my 400+ audino.
wish i could have it in a love ball, but black/white dont have those. closest thing is dream ball and i would have to hack my game for those since dream world was shut down years ago and i didnt already have any on my extremely old save file.
remakes might change things, though. maybe they will let us get apricorn balls in ye future remakes.

and now it doens't even work
and if it works it is often a bugged pokemon which crashes on trade

usually if youre looking for one pokemon, you get a glimpse of who the bugged pokemon OT is then it freezes, but the next time you search the GTS you can specify dont show pokemon from my region and sometimes get away with it that way
i was trying to get a minior early in a playthru and was able to pull that off

soothe bell isnt required, it's just a much better way of raising friendshippies for evolving them
alternatively, u can shove calcium, protein, etc. items that raise evs into them to raise friendshippies, but those are expensive, also u can use ev reduction berries to raise it as well. i personally just lvled up my buneary from lvl 1 to around 35 or so to evolve it. didnt hold soothe bell until i realized it wasnt around lvl 30s. was an oopsie on my part. from what i know lvls, berries, vitamins, and konikoni massages are ye ways to raise friendshippies. battling repeatedly and winning without lvling up doesnt help, unless it is a gym, elite 4, champion, i assume totem pokémon probably count for that, but i cant tell for sure if those battles effect it or not. it has in some past games such as Pokémon Crystal where gyms would give u +3 in 0-199 range and +2 in 200+ range (number changes based on how much happiness they already have, it's overly complicated to be honest)

they are like 90% ye same, it isnt like a complete sequel at all. it is an alteration of ye storyline similar to older games like platinum vs diamond/pearl or emerald vs ruby/sapphire. most of it is ye exact same, just 5 new pokémon added to ultrasun with small story adjustments. u can play either one and try to spot story differences, but ye order doesnt matter. it's like choosing whether to play platinum first or diamond/pearl first.
