if you embed a youtube link to NN, it shows video unavailable error. Is there a workaround to this? Or is it a bug? It has been the case for a long time.

It kind of is.
All other services fixed it.
Also, I was never able to play music videos in Notesnoek for some reason, but I can play it in almost every other note-taking service where you can embed a YouTube link.

Anytype had the same issues lately because of Youtubes restrictions.
Here is a snipped that helped to mitigate the issue

@half mango sorry for the ping but I think you guys missed the fix in desktop and android app. It works in web app.
Also we still can't add Youtube music links to the note. It gives the following error.
it will show a youtube icon when you embed the link but when you try to play, it will show this error.
