was reading suggestions mentioning todo app and remembered first impressions with TickTick,
found the app has similar interface to NN and basically works the same way, only thing is they have "item type" either a note or a task.. thats basically it.. same element

same item, same content inside, just adds a "reminder" or "due date" again which is same date.. different name
tags, folders (lists), colors.. already exist in NN

basically its just the same note with extra fields for due date.

might be an option

To-do is getting integrated in every other notes app. I think NN also needs an integration. Also, NN already has a reminder section which just needs some improvements.

How about something like this

A very minimal and feature rich design. Also, nothing much needs to be changed in the reminders. Just some UI changed and addition of a few new features.

The reminder section works pretty much as a task manager. It has due dates, recurring tasks, everything. At least I am able to do exacly what I used to with Notion or Todoist.

#

What I would add or change, for the sake of improvement and not of creating a new possibility, which the app already allows, is: (1) checkboxes, so you can check a reminder and register it as done; (2) end date, so you can end recurring tasks and (3) improve the UI of the Android widget, but I've seen this probably will happen once it is only the first version.

Red's suggetions are also neat.

EN also has this really nice UI for adding tasks in a note.

hm. i kinda understand this, but this adds another layer of functionality on top of notes rather then reusing existing ones, currently reminders are completly different thing in their own section with a separate window for editing, tried using reminders as tasks.. nah.. in my case its not working, most of tasks need categorization per project, hence notebooks/tags ... oh well
