#Data doesn't sync between desktop app (windows 11) and mobile app (android)

I'm seeing a lot of these posts, and I'm experiencing it myself. Why aren't we getting any feedback on the issue? I've posted it here, on the Git, via the Email address, and nothing. This is a persistent error that damages the entire functionality of the app.

We are looking into this.
Can you try the following:
- Open Notesnook on both devices
- Edit a note on device A
- Wait for sync to complete
- Open the same note on device B and see if the changes arrived.
It's definitely working right now. My biggest worry is that sometimes the sync doesn't occur, which leaves me losing edits when I'm not expecting it.
Is there anything I can do to try to narrow it down when the error occurs? I'm happy to share anything I can.
It would depend on how you are using NN. Sync normally runs within 1 second of making any kind of change/edit.
When do you usually notice this? For example, does it happen when you open device B after several hours to see changes made by device A? Or does it happen when both device A and B are open etc.?
I only ever open it on one device at a time, so on the PC at home and on my phone any other time.
Most of the time it seems to be that changes made on my phone aren't always appearing on the PC version. I've tested it by writing a note with the time and date on my phone, waiting for the sync and closing the phone app, then opening it on my PC. Even leaving it for minutes doesn't always sync the note.
Could it have something to do with the size of the note? I'm a novelist, so some of the notes are up to 100k words long.
There's an issue right now in v3.0.8 where the opened note doesn't update after the sync runs. The changes have synced but the editor is still showing old edits. It could be due to that? Next time try restarting the app or closing the note (including its tab) and opening it again.
I don't think size is the problem here. Size would create performance problems but nothing else.
That makes some sense. I've seen the error correct itself by closing and re-opening the PC version, but not always.
That's great, the size thing is a massive relief.
v3.0.9 will fix that issue though along with a couple of other minor bugs.
Regarding sync, there's also a bug in v3.08 where newly opened session does not show tags at all for the very first note opened (on the note itself, below the header). The tags do show up properly for the same note at the notes list. If you click some other note and then go back to the first one, the problem fixes itself.

Just experienced it today. I wrote a word on desktop app and only half of the word appeared on the android app.
What happens if you run the sync again on the desktop? Does the full word appear or nothing happens?
Nothing happens. The sync icon doesn't complete a whole round, it just moves a little bit.
Is there a solution for this issue yet?
My notes don't sync between the desktop 3.0.8-c93d82d-desktop and web version either
desktop and web are both on 3.0.13, you should update your clients
do I have to manually download the lastest version from the website? I don't get any notice of an update on the desktop app
