I want to upgrade my imaging rig with an EAF. My current mechanism is a simple 1x crayford by skywatcher (the old model that came with the 150p).

I read that the PDS model uses a better, more astrophotography focused focuser. Is it worth upgrading to it, or are there better alternatives?

If you have to change focuser there are way better alternatives, namely the cyck focusers

#

Iirc it should just work with your current focuser plate

yeah, just checked. are they the same craydford style? i heard the tube can be rotated?

#

btw it does look like a better alternative, even price-wise

I'd get the newer red focuser which is rack and pinion

#

I don't like crayfords

and i know this is a stupid question, but will this be compatible with the touptek autofocuser?
