This project spanned all of last week and took data from 2 locations over 200 miles apart. The total broadband integration of this project is 14 hours and 48 minutes. This may be one of my personal favorites of all time for me. I've been dying to image M 78 since I started the hobby and Boogeyman was one I attempted at the beginning of this year, but got a super soft result because of the state this telescope was in at the time.

The red ribbon slicing the image in two is Barnard's Loop, and is easily one of the coolest parts of this image, main subjects aside. This was one heck of a fantastic choice to end the year on. H-alpha is a work in progress. Initially I was going to aim for 20 hours, but I saw an image of 50 hours integration and now I want at least that. For a couple of reasons, this image is going to be one I will never forget. This season of life was a wild one and has revealed things to me I thought I would never see again.

there are some weird artefacts on your stars

i cant fix it

I imaged from 2 places of drastically differing levels of light pollution which caused a large drop off in the brightness of the stars

#

rejection read that as a shift in pixels and tossed out those parts of those stars

#

this is something i dont think simply changing the settings can fix as it will always get read that way.

#

for the final image, i could maybe do just one night for the stars and use those, i dunno

#

i cant really predict what rejection is going to do to them

Wonderful rendition. I have pretty much the same framing with my SQA55
