Couldn't get much more data, the nights are rarely clear these days where I live. Still wanted to give this a shot though...

Any recomendations and advise is welcomed as always!

# summer root That's a smart move

Must say it has some downsides. It is more on the heavy side, so carrying it back and forth isn't a walk in a park, especially at 4 o'clock in the morning. πŸ˜… Can't praise the stability enough though

Before vs after. The HEQ-5 tripod is absolutely rock solid

Less elegant but, precision over looks. Always

Oh ok πŸ™ƒ. I wanted to have it as light as possible and having to counter balace my setup on normal EQ mount was the thing which has led me to strainwave mounts. With this technology I don't have to use the weights and therefore persist on not using them. I know it could cause some problems in the future, on the other hand they were made for this kind of stuff πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. My OTA is pretty light. I only have the AsiAir and guidescope mounted on it. In your case I see why it would be beneficial.
