Reprocessing for framing ideas…thought it was worth a share, original also included… 12” F3 dual band 2600MC …

That's uhh... A lot of masking and selective color there.

#

Just a tip, you can get great color without any of that.

#

Also what denoise tool are you using?

Ahhh yeah it just a faff, no strength of truth in the result, I do like the shape and orientation though that’s why I posted. This faff is a precursor to a stalled project. I’ve got a new set of MaxFR SHO filters for my other 250mm aperture F1.2 scope, Ha tested and working great. Oiii and Si not tested (clouds) but hoping to get a lot of Oiii on this target soon at a dark site, finish the project and maybe present with this orientation.

It was made in the 80’s used by the British Royal Airforce on board the Canberra reconnaissance/ spy planes. It’s got a pretty flat 60mm imaging circle when properly dialed in. I coupled it to a Phase One P45 medium format digital back, but have swapped to a Astro cam 294MM for now.

And the maxfr sho filters are preshifted?

#

For that focal ratio?

There good - 90% efficiency - at F1.4, so hoping effective FR on my setup will be around 1.3 , 1.35 ish…. It’s a lot faster in tests against my 12 inch F4 newt with a Nexus reducing to F3

#

I’m still working on it, it’s been challenging

I was curious and was talking to the telescope making people at the OA discord and they seem to think it was one of these that were used in pair with night vision during the cold war, which explains why its so fast.
