The wounds of this betrayal are never gonna heal.
My friend tested his guiding between PHD2 and Asiair and his guiding was noticeably worse with the Asiair
Also locked ecosystem is entirely cringe
NINA is also free! don't have to pay a dime
What could be better than that
Been using NINA now for a year and I've never had a single problem
I've been using ASIAIR for 3 years and never had problem with it 🤷♂️
Tell me why it's better than NINA
Who's claiming that it's better than NINA? What you're doing is constantly talking down on it despite many people using ASIAIR just fine. Whatever.
Actually there are people that do argue its better than NINA
I have witnessed said arguments
And here in this server too
I dont see the idea in supporting it when it's expensive and lacks features in comparison to rivalling control software which is free and has more features and control / support
And you run NINA on a free computer?
NINA also runs on a phone. Almost everybody has a computer, one that they've bought most likely years prior to doing AP. Anything Win10 or later is supported
Most people use an already existing laptop
To technically answer your question, no
does asiair work with non zwo cameras? work with non zwo accessories? does it support plugins? how advanced can you make your sequences? how conditional can you make your sequences? what kind of logic and scripting is supported? what kind of external apps are supported? what is the mosaic planning like? can you analyze your sensor tilt? does it show you focus history or support filter offsets? does it support integrated weather sensors? does it support dome control? does it support dozens of plate solvers?
Do you not understand that some people have completely different requirements from you? I just don’t understand the constant hate. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I see it as a good way to save money for a lot of people
I’m also not going around and say that NINA is shit.
While providing more features and control. To each their own I suppose
