This is an oldie but goodie. Wish I’d tried a blue filter too but ran out of SSD space on the capture lappy.

Fullerscope 8.75” f7.5 newt and Altair GPCam 3 290m

Under good seeing the resolution of the shorter wavelength is better. This is because the angular resolution of a telescope is dependent only on the wavelength of the incident light and the diameter of the objective (assuming perfect seeing and optics etc etc).

Angular resolution (Rayleigh)

θ = 1.22 × λ / d

The angular resolution is improved by either shortening the wavelength (λ )or increasing the diameter (d).
