So I found a relatively cheap telescope for 320€. I’d like to start with DSO photography, but that’s really hard with my 127/1900 mak so I would like to know if this newtonian would do a good job or if there are any better alternatives.

Can you send a pic? Not all of them can focus a camera

There’s the picture

its possible to use it on the eq3 but your looking at under 30 sec exposures (thats being generous)

#

but I wouldn't recommend it at all since the weight limit it on the eq3 is only 5kg, and that scope it self is 5kg

you want to get the p-ds version or you might struggle or not get focus

What’s the difference between the normal one and the p-ds version?

dual speed focuser, it's a little shorter iirc and is smoother to use

Sure

What sort of dso do you want to do? wide field or deep?

Wide field ones

a 150/750 isn't really widefield, quite the opposite

get a rokinon 135mm, thats my recommendation

#

can also be under the name as "samyang 135mm" but its the same

#

But in my personal opinion get the ZWO Seestar s30 or s50. They capture some great images and easy to use.

Thanks for all your advice, but I think I’ll go with a bresser 150/750 dob

#

Since that would allow me to put my mak 127 on it aswell, which is great because I’m still not completely fond of my eq-3 mount

That is if you don’t got a giant equatorial tracking mount

#

And even then I think the chromatic aberration is gonna be horrendous

Wide field is below 300

#

I would personally go with something like the Rokinon 135 for widefield
