Seestar S50, dual band, Bortle 6, framing mode 1.5x, 10 hours total across the enlarged frame.

I've reprocessed this many times, often aiming for a sort of "SHO" palette, but I figured that with my dual band data on this target, it just didn't work out, I didn't like it. So I went for the "stock" narrowband colors; the reds fit better with the whole hearth theme of the nebula I guess; and I tried to bring out some of the bluer tones of the Oiii in the core.

Siril, GraXpert, Seti Astro Suite/Cosmic Clarity (star decon), GIMP, Lightroom mobile.

A seestar has NO BUSINESS taking stuff like this

Sup! @radiant vortex

#

Not to bother, but I've been meaning to kindly ask if I could use a bit of your data to fill in my corners..

If you don't have the individual subs anymore, no issue, I'd really appreciate it with the final unedited stack, so I can lasso and replace my regions at least. Thanks in advance!

Thanks

olive axle

Did you crop out for the same reason lol?

radiant vortex
#

Yes exactly

olive axle
#

No data on the corners got me thinking of rebuilding the seestar mosaic algorithm 😂

radiant vortex
#

This is my latest rendition of it and its even more cropped

#

There's not much data due to mosaic mode

Love it.. I'm trying to put mine on a canvas as a gift for someone, one hell of a bad job seestar.

radiant vortex
#

Even if it has more data, its mostly in the center

olive axle
#

Exactly, since it spirals out.

#

Heard it may get about 2 shots on that corner within an entire hour..

radiant vortex
#

Yeah it could be

#

Its not very efficient

olive axle
#

Wait, that could still work, I'm lacking data but I still got some data in there, you also got some data in there, so if you're willing to help, I'd love if you could send the data.

#

If you want, I can share as well so you can widen it up a bit

#

My previous go at the 1200 shot requires spot healing brush, but it worked amazingly

#

Not when it gets that close to the nebula though..

The 1200x 10sec from B8

Send anything you got, individual files preferred though. I'd give it a shot at stacking overnight, will definitely get some better results in those margins

#

If you have the final stack as well, send it over, I'll see if I can stitch them together without having too big of a data inconsistencies

#

Ping me when you do, thanks!

@olive axle sorry for the ping, I didnt have time to load them on Google drive yet, is it fine if I try to do so this evening?

olive axle
#

No problem!

#

I also got a guy's data, together we have a fair 6000 imgs or about 18 hours of data, if you're looking for a colab haha

radiant vortex
#

Else could I give you the stacked file so its easier to upload?

#

Its 36GB of subs

#

Sorry if it took me long

olive axle
#

I'll let you know how it turns out

radiant vortex
#

I dont know if there is a lot of data for the corners but I have over 20 hours of subs combined through all the framing

#

Even there I noticed it needed more signal so I'd be very interested to see what comes out

@radiant vortex !!

#

I worked on it, the details are not bad, but I'm looking to drizzle everything from zero because your image has some noise on the left mid part of the nebula and I can't properly stack it without artifacts

#

You can also add the stitching lines

#

Just some quick playing around, stacking everything together would let me crop less tightly

radiant vortex
#

@olive axle cool, so in the end did you drizzle it?
