I've been trying to sell this mount for around £900. The painted areas of the mount have some scuffs and scrapes here and there where you'd expect some wear to be. I've had it a few years or so and unfortunately parts of the mount that weren't painted have rusted, namely the weight rod and screws and bolts. I treated and painted them, excluding the counterweight rod. Everything inside looks like new and in general is in good health. It functions as it should and it never missed a beat. I've seen they go for around 1.5K. I have three 5KG counterweights, one of which unfortunately rusted slightly on part of the edge. I'm assuming moisture managed to get underneath and it eventually peeled. However in general the other two weights are in good condition. One has been used slightly, the other wasn't used at all and was stored indoors the whole time. I should also say, I've bought and will be supplying a brand new power brick and cable. Is £900 a fair price? I don't go to it but a local astronomy society says based on all the images and the pricing of everything in total it is a fair asking price.

the issue is that i think you are asking to much for it, a new one is £1,300 so people would just pay a little extra for a new one. i would say £600-£700
thats how much i would pay for it
The mount new at the cheapest reliable place is 1.477.00 to 1.485.00. That's almost another £200. I appreciate the advice, just wanted to say the RRP is wrong.
I usually see them in the £900-£1100 range depending on condition so you are near the lower price. I would say it's a very fair price. They very rarely go below £800
Cool. I had been told through a friend who asked at the astro society he goes to that the 900 mark was about right. I had it listed for months and had almost 30 watchers on it. I sent offers out and most of them declined. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried on Astro Buy and Sell, I've had pathetic offers like 400-500.
Also if you got an exceptional copy and you get low guide numbers you can sometimes ask for a bit more as it's better than the average.
Keep trying, you need the right people to buy expensive equipment. I sold my hyperstar setup. That was almost 3.5k in retail value and I got stupid offers like £700. No way
You can also try eBay, there are no fees now and I've found that there are more people to see your ad simply because more people use it. If anything, you can just use it as another ad
