The Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) – 10 Hours of Integration
This project began in December, but due to persistent cloudy winter skies, it had to be postponed and was only completed now. The Flame Nebula located 1,400 light-years away in the constellation Orion, is an emission nebula illuminated by the nearby star Alnitak whose intense radiation ionizes the surrounding hydrogen gas, creating its fiery glow.
