There u go
cheers
Slightly missed focus no?
Focus should be good there’s def some trailing because i haven’t gotten my autoguider to work
this doesnt look like good focus tbh
its soft. Slightly missed
do you have bahtinov mask? Or how did you focus?
also its weird because one side looks better than the other.
Yeah I use a bahtinov mask
I mean it’s possible it’s the filter or something idk what else it would be
how was the camera rotated?
horizontally or vertically?
Horizontally
When pointed at the target it was prob 45degrees or something tho
Okay, so then it could be cheap focuser. And that the weight of the camera is causing it to tilt slightly
It’s not cheap tho it’s possible it was tightened all the way I keep it a little loose
Rotator also could’ve been a little loose
Anyways here you go pretty decent results with a 400-500 dollar scope.
However I would recommend you to have a look at those stars, something seems off to me.
Yeah thx I’ll def be looking into it
That’s most likely from the narrowband filter slightly changed the back focus and just kept it will def be looking into it
nope
its tilt
and a bad one
Yeah idk then only thing I could think is it’s the camera I modded it myself maybe I didn’t align the sensor back exactly which I really hope not
Its not the sensor. And its not backfocus. Backfocus would make stars look like this
My guess is that its the focuser itself.
but I dont have any experience with this.
The focused is kinda apart of the telescope don’t think I can really change it
So look into it, ask in #🤓-ask-a-nerd on what to do with tilt. And provide these images.
I tried to see if anything could possibly tilt the only thing I could get is the adapter to the camera
Everything else just moved the entire scope
Also what tool did u use for the camera tilt analysis I’ll see if i can rule out some stuff using older images and stuff
in siril, Image information - abberation inspector
and for the tilt
this command tilt [clear] in the command line
or just tilt works
Ok
So I ran that command but nothing happened
need to platesolve the image first
Ok
Can you do another tilt analysis on another image of mine I can figure out how to platesolve I’ll send the link in a sec
Nvm got it
Blurx will work nicely on this
Yeah it does I used it for the original
good soup
I would definitely recommend figuring out the tilt
Yeah idk what going on with that I did a tilt analysis on multiple other pics and it’s just all over the place even when it’s facing the same way and rotates the same way
its def the focus
you can see that the neb is out of focus
Theres multiple issues there. I know its slightly out of focus, he also has a bad tilt on that data.
prob the issue of his camera. I think the sensor might not have been placed back properly when it was modded
Maybe, but idk tbh. He later checked other images he got, and the tilt differed. Wasnt constant at all.
thats weird
I still think it could be issue with the focuser tube.
Like shifting or something from the weight of the dslr
yes could be
I think I fixed the tilt problem it prob was the rotator it wasn’t on right
The focus was prob because the focuser tightening nob was loose
