I've been doing astrophotography for about a year now with my Celestron star sense explorer 130az (8 pounds) . Since Christmas is coming up, (I'm 15 and broke so I can't buy my own) I'm looking for the cheapest possible tracking mount for my scope. My target price range is 3-400 dollars. I understand that it's quite unlikely that I'll find a mount for that price, but if you have any recommendations, let me know.

First of all, go on cloudy nights classifieds

#

Or Astrobin classifieds

#

Then look for a Swsa 2i or SWSAGTI

#

swsa mini

#

Those are the cheapest good ones u can get

#

There are also ioptron ones

#

Just look for star trackers

Star Adventurer GTi is a great little mount but if your okay with manually finding objects in space then the older, cheaper, and non gti version is also an option.

Only for dslr it will work good

#

I don't think it can take the scope

#

If you want to use the scopen

#

Get a cheap eq5 tune it and onstep it

Ideally, don’t go above 7 pounds on the mount. Including the camera telescope guide scope whatever

#

So the camera telescope everything in total should not be above 7 pounds

# vagrant cedar Why would that not work?

I assume it's 650mm of Focal lenght which is a bit too much. That mount is ideal for a dlsr+lens or a small APO refractor like a redcat51 or a similar scope. Wouldn't go above 2.5kgs

#

Going a bit above 2.5kg is fine but better not to
