Gotta say this one blew me away! unbelievably sharp and the SNR for the integration is amazing! love this camera so far and really wanna get a couple of actual clear nights, not these stupidly patchy ones that dont allow alot of data. Gonna reprocess this after i slept, feel free to try the data here: https://discord.com/channels/794642864218439681/1314495816907489330

Lum with weak autostretch

#

Also if someone knows what the spiky thing is on the left lmk, seen it a few times since going mono

Hell yea!

Welcome officially to the mono superiority club

I wanna have mono too

Also that spike at the left is very weird, check for any foreign objects that are on that side of the optical path. Could be a small hair possibly?

That spikes on the left could very well be some kind of foreign object or defect on that side of your image train either in the camera sensor or a filter

Those are from the CCD camera

#

Idk what causes them but that's what that means.

#

This stuff

#

This isn't what's going on in your case, since it's a CCD thing.

#

would you say the 1600MM is worth your money?

Ahh i see, dont htink the 1600MM pro suffers with that as ive not seen it on any other 1600MM images before, ill have to check my filters and maybe the protective glass covering the sensor

The 1600MM so far has definitely been worth my money! although i havent had a proper project with it yet, the 2 small sessions ive done iwth it have been pretty mind blowing! definitely more SNR than what the 294MC was giving me, and for sure much higher resolution threshold. The only downside is the low fullwell, but imo that isnt overly important, just gotta limit exposures or use lower gain, however for stars im not worried about it

Mono 4/3rds sensor for that money is not bad at all

#

But I would also take a look at the 294mm

#

Has slightly better performance, especially in well depth, as well as having a bin 1 48mp mode.

#

Iirc it's 48mp

#

Around there anyway

i gotta sell my first scope, though
