This is lovely for a dng! thats a single frame?
Yeah
Wait no it istn
My phone stacks 4mins of 16 sec pictures i think
This is cool
I tried editing it
thanks, your process is cool also
but i think a little more contrast would be good
Okay
I added contrast and made a curve
yeah thats better for me, your data is just lovely! congrats!
Thanks
Rookie here, but tried to pull out some color. a little over done I think.
i think you should do a background extraction with graxpert to get less bright at the middle and more bright at the edges
but the image overall is very good
I re-done this image
I actually tried that, and some other background stuff, but lost a lot of nebulosity while I was doing it. Might give another go later, but thanks for the feedback.
yeah, but in graxpert i think it shoulld be easier to get more nebulosity with less edges loss, just like i done in my images
Well, it DID take that light out, but not pleased with the overall look now. Will start again from scratch tonight.
wow thats way better, but i think now you need to get a little more of contrast and highlight
Oh wow
Thanks guys
Is it okay if i use this
It was like bortle 3.5 so there is some ligth pollution
This is just cool
I can only do something because i dont know how to edit on a laptop lol
Is this colour data or is it added
I like this. There is some ligth pollution lol ik
i think its from the data cuz i see these collors but i cant pull then
What is nebulosity?
the nebula part
like the orion nebula has some nebulosity arount it, but its hard to get
This is one I just tried that shows "nebulosity"
Does my milky way photo have nebula???
Oh
"technically", I don't really know, but the fine details of the light sources is what the focus is on
Okay
Is the milky way relly that colour?
My m31 has so bad trails so it cant be processed😭😭😭
All that color I got from the data....it's all about learning to "stretch", I've finally got that to where I can get around it, but as you can see, other's are masters at it.
Thx, I seriously appreciate it....been trying to learning this for about 6 months now. Here's how I handled your data. I first removed the stars, then "stretched" it with Curve Adjustments.
That's my favourite part of processing....I struggle with how bright it is versus how much contrast to have. I'ts a very fine line to walk to avoid losing that nebulosity due to overdoing contrast or making it too bright.
The phone cameras are INSANE now...here's the Milky Way on my S23 last summer...perfect conditions...no moon and no light pollution (Bortle 2)
Yours is great data as best I can tell, I'm a rookie, and I got that much out of it
For me its not dark in the summer
Where are you? I'm in the Seattle area, so we have very short nights in the summer, but clouds ALL the time and 200' trees and mountains blocking everything, lol
Yeah
I live in Finland
Ah, very short summer nights there - I'm originally from British Columbia Canada, and it's moreso there, but not as much as where you are
Long nights in the winter thoug
Right now we're geting about 9hrs of daylight
ugh
Thanks for editing my picture by the way
all the milky way is nebula and stars
