At first I was hesitant between the newt and a frac because of the spikes cuz I love em. Then you were using a 3D printed mask for spikes which is a great idea

Yea spikes can look really neat. Although now I'm thinking of just using them on star clusters. It gets rather annoying because if the rotation changes at all between nights it'll cause double spikes. I also don't care how dim spikes get artifacts after denoising.

Yea once your done with your main project and have gotten the integration time you desire, simply shoot like an hour of data with just a UV/IR cut and then add those stars while processing.

Try installing it on the other side, I had the same issue with my Esprit 100ed.

If that doesn‘t work either, just sand it down a little, then it‘s not gonna be an issue on either side anymore. Be careful though.
