I have a celestron edge hd 800 and i am planning to buy a uv/ir filter for it.
Would getting a 1.25" one be fine or would i ned a 2"?

I've been curious about when to use 1.25" vs 2" filters. Is it dependent on sensor size, focal length or some other rule of thumb? I presume the smaller filter introduces vignetting at some point, but when does it become noticeable?
