#Solar Ha Data from 9/24/24

This is the best 200 out of 2000 frames.
Single Stacked 100mm Ha telescope at 0.7ร
the only way to learn how to process the sun is to try to do it
like for example when you dont know how to process planetary the only way to learn it is to actually proces it and try
Can it be done in Siril and stretching?
you can use registax for some sharpening, curves in siril to get the color and thats really it
if you wanna make the prominences visible it will be a bit more tricky
We got a long way for 1.4 to get curves in siril
huh i thoguth siril had curves or atleast r, g, b histogram transformation
It has GHS thoooo so we're golden
wow
Processed entirely in siril and gimp
@thin mural
i also dont really know how to process solar
Yo sick
im gonna do it again in pix now
i havent used siril for actual processing for more than 6 months lol
ok if im being honest the siril/gimp process is better
i didnt expect that but yeah seriously its better
okay reprocessing the pix rn
Pix/gimp
i still liike the siril one better
That's really good for a first try. This was my first attempt at any sort of solar processing.
๐
i mean i procecssed a little bit of solar data before but it was only like 3 times lol
I think i made it worse actually
what did you even do to it
I upped the saturation or somthing idk this was a few months ago now
also how do you make the sun so hdr?
like how do you get thsi effect and how did you get rid of the very bright spots
My image is inverted so the filaments are light instead of dark it shows way more contrast
Sometimes they look better not inverted tbh it just depends on the data I think
I need to learn how to process something other than solar
lol
I don't even take my telescope out at night
oh yeah this looks much better imo
Sometimes I don't even like to add color and just keep it monochrome
also tysm for the tip
i was always wondering how yall are able to make solar images look this way
Ye
forgot to say this but really nice process
It was a really steady atmosphere the other day and that makes all the difference
Already way more contrast showing
I tried to over expose just a little bit so the prominence would pop out better
a lil better i think
I think I gave you a different capture then what I processed because the smaller prom on the left looks different than mine. I took an hours worth of captures because I was making a time lapse
I can try and post that but the file is really fussy for whatever reason after I converted it into a gif
Had to compress the file so I lost some quality
oh wow that is really cool
This looks great! Ha scope?
I wish to buy one, but you can only image the sun with it
Lunt makes modular ones that can be converted to nighttime scopes you just take out the etalon(s) and blocking filters and you have a normal refractor. This is the LS100MT. It can do Ha,Calcium, and white light solar as well as nighttime astrophotography or even visual if your into that sort of thing. It was super appealing to me for that reason.
Nice! I can see more sharpness and clarity on the proms for sure on that one.
how i can get collor at the image?
i use siriL
here is my try, its my first sun process, how i can get such these details and the collors like that
I used only siriL. I actualy need to learn how to use Gimp
I know i said that you shouldnt use ENTIRELY ghs for stretching but for this you have to
As long as the main part is pretty bright and you are looking for hdr use ghs
The colors are really about playing around with curves in gimp and thats all
If you start with red the more green you will add the more yellow it will become
I think i also used less blue in the curves
