depends what you want to do
do you want a larger scope for planetary?
or do you want to do into dso imaging
Yes, planetary
I don’t really want to do deep sky
And I want to stick to Celestron because I am familiar with their features
i would say to get the largest possibly motorised dobsonian but celestron dont make those
so youll be looking at Skywatcher for example
if you can find someone selling a 10" skyhopper you can go for it but you wont have electronic go-to
If your intention is to only shoot planets then get a planetary cam instead of the dslr
What's your budget for th camera?
500$ USD or below
can go for a player one uranus c
there's not much point in getting it if the focus is only planets, you don't need such a huge sensor
it's not that bad of an idea either, it can come in handy but that's up to him to decide
Are you referring to the Uranus c or dslr
uranus
Thr Uranus is made for planetary
Ik, but you can save a bunch by getting a smaller sensor, most of the time you'll be using a tiny ROI anyway
If thr Uranus is too big, then get a 224 then lol
The uranus c will serve you very well as a planetary cam. And it can double as a dso camera if you want
A uv/ir cut filter is also a good idea too because it will give you true colors of your target
What's the budget for a telescope upgrade?
I will save up 2000$
