After many many attempts I am proudly presenting probably my best photo of Saturn yet (at least for 2024 season, but maybe of all time) I got very lucky with the seeing conditions as they were essentially as good as it gets here in Salem, OR (123W, 45N).

Details: This image consists of 21 x 2 minutes of data that was shot within a 67 minute interval of very good seeing between 2 and 4am PT on August 7, 2024. The general processing consisted of extracting the best frames from each video and stacking them using AS!4. Followed by preliminary wavelets in AstroSurface. For a higher signal to noise ratio the frames were also derotated using WinJupos to produce the master stack. Final touches such as color adjustments and denoise was done in AstroSurface and GIMP. Also final image upscaled 2x.

Note: The moons that are in transit are likely artifacts due to WJ de-rotation, I had the planetary moons correction feature turned on, but I liked how it looks so I didn't bother.
