Is that not what literally everyone says to get as a first setup
Also dude you better modify that camera
Its a decent beginners setup, better mod that can tho. Also how did you make that pic?
I borrowed it
Ah ic
no stealing
Try finding everything used ofc, just watch out when buying
yup, I know a guy who can mod the can
Nice
now I just need to fend off the financial hell of this hobby
Haha been there done that, we didn’t pick a cheap hobby didnt we 😅
Ah well, its for a greater purpose
Rightfully so
for now I'm just gonna cry into my smart telescope whilst I save up
Sell the smart telescope
looks good but i reccoment second hand its the way to go. 1500 is steep for what u get
In all fairness the smart scope is phenomenal and I would love to keep it.
Then honesty why are you considering this beginner rig?
Me when nebula photos video
You can get the stuff used for way less price
add variety and not lmited to just over a degree to shoot targets even if I can simply create a mosaic
I really don't get these setups if they are not for travelling. I would get a cheap used neq6 or a new neq5 with a 6" newtonian and a used camera 🤷♂️ I honestly prefer having a scope
yes, I do plan on buying used equipment
That’s reasonable, but like Hugo says this seems like a beginner rig and I would aim for something with more oomph, even for widefield, unless you need it for travel.
That picture is from a video in Nico Carver's Nebula Photos Youtube Channel called "Astrophotography from $100 to $10000" @ 10:59 which is called "The Gateway Drug" rig
Noted, thanks!
here are some from the smart telescope, last two with only around half an hour long exposure.
this too
that{s pretty awesome for half an hour exposure only
https://youtube.com/shorts/-ajeFs-ISGo?si=Iyye4Y9HndMniXLI thats the process with the telescope.
This is a 1300$ setup, used market value, whis is what I paid was way less than 1000$. Nowadays and with buying from the used marked you can get way better setups than those setups that large youtubers suggest buying as a beginner. #low-tier-submit message
I'm looking for a canon dslr with a crop sensor, my budget is £500.
does anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, a bloke from my astro club has offered the 2000d (Rebel T7) at a price of £180 just for me, I think it is an absolute win!
also includes the backpack and lens!
It's okay
wym you feel like you cooking you just took this image from a Nebula Photos video
