Sure enough you won't be able to use the 5x, it would go over the magnification limit of the ota with most eyepieces

Other than that it's a telescope mostly for planets with a very narrow fov

nooo if u wanna go long term astrophotography save up and start properly. Im stuck with the same mount its not fun to use.

especially at 1500mm the tracking isn't good enough. Neither does it have guiding capability. Start with a star tracker and dslr and a lens or scope.
