i remember reading the starnet website once and it said leave stride alone

but not sure whats its function

have you tried upsampling 2x?

usually makes star shape artefacts, but it does usually improve the star detection

my data was already drizzled 2x though

but physicsdude helped me starx

result was great

no residual stars
