#Should I buy the SkyWatcher Heritage 150p?

I mainly want to buy this as its generally regarded as a nice entry Dob but im concerned about the fact its a flextube assembly. Does the fact its a flex tube make the need for collimation much more frequent, and more importantly, to me at least, how much does it bend when a phone is attached? For reference i have a Samsung S24 which is relatively light. Will this cause major bending?

Thank you to all who respond!

Something else worth noting is that i currently own a 70mm and a 114mm(which i plan to sell soon) so this will be a good step up for me if the pros outweigh the cons. my usage case for this scope will be primarily visual with the occasional planetary, and maybe even DSO, images

#

Size is also something to consider for me. i only use my scopes pointing them out of my window as it is often too hot/humid and too many bugs are out for me to go out for prolonged periods(i live in Louisiana so this is really no surprise lmao). if there are any similarly sized/prices scopes with similar specs please do inform me.

It's strong

#

Also my scope has stayed in good collimation the whole time I've had it and I've accidentally hit it against walls and stuff a few times, the flextube shouldn't affect collimation

#

The only thing it does is make a shroud a good idea to make or buy

how is the helical focuser? its way different than what im used to. is there any major pros or cons about it?

Oh the helical focuser sucks

#

Especially for phone astrophotography

#

For visual it's fine

#

When its far out it wobbles a lot too

#

A cheap upgrade for it is just putting some thread tape on the focuser to reduce the wobble

once again, thank you!
